Also, can somebody please explain why fergie brought on Chris Smalling for the last goal kick. Fabio wasn't injured and all it did was make sure we couldn't get another attack it.
Normally I'll champion the officials about the pressure they're under to make close calls, but it's hardly an offside decision with a mm in it, the ball has changed direction by 90 degrees, in line with the direction Ferdinand was travelling, it should have been one of the easier decisions of the day, and it's a decision a referee at the highest level shouldn't have issue with. Newcastle didn't even appeal for it and moved for the corner, bizarre call.
We were lot better in second half, but very unlucky infront of the goal. Krul was awesome. Young was frustrating with few bad decisions, misses but he is settling well.
Ref got the decision spot on only for linesman to change it. It was a superb sliding tackle, forgotten art.

Surely the ref should've stuck to his guns and not awarded it-if i'm not mistaken it looked as if he was going to change his mind

I have to say, terribad decision on the penno, but you had a bit of luck with the way your goal went in, and you should have finished off one of your many chances.

If the ref is dead sure then only he can overrule it like he did against Sunderland. It was linesman fault and I for one wouldn't blame ref for that.
Like Fergie said. The lino left the ref in a terrible situation. I wouldn't blame the ref either.

Woeful. I don't understand why Fergie would play Macheda/Diouf down the left & Park through the middle while we've got Ravel, Pogba, Lingard & Cole on the bench :S Don't say you're gonna give the youth a chance and then leave all of them on the ****** bench, it's so annoying. Will Keane isn't even on the bench, why hasn't he been given a chance? I just don't understand Fergie sometimes...
