Also Jones is not a DM. He is just not. He can play as CM but not as DM. Should have played Fletcher in that role who is disciplined enough.

Sorry but even if you do win the Europa League, being dumped out of the Champions league group stages is a disaster. Let Arsenal fans enjoy tonight, they haven't got any silverware to make them happy
Thing is, Cleverley is not even a star. He is a good young player who can go on to be a great player. But it just shows how important to have a player who specialises in that role, than a utility player
Surely has to encourage investment of any sort now. There's a chronic lack of ideas through the middle, Nani and Giggs were the only player offering anything going forward, and with Rooney being the focal point, we couldn't rely on him to add to our central threat either. Saying that, we weren't bad tonight, plenty of chances, Rooney could have scored a hatful and Nani was threatening every time he ran with the ball, we lost it from complacency at home, Basel and Benfica should be home bankers. 9 points from 5 games isn't good enough for the group we had, let alone 6 games.
You should be winning all three home games, away to Oteul, drawing away to Basel, and probably losing away to benfica. For a club like united that has to be the expectation

United miss Cleverly and Anderson partnership at the start of the season. We don't have a cover for Cleverly who at that start was our main CM who dominated the ball.
Too true mate, you looked out of ideas (hence why Rooney kept shooting from anywhere). Utd need to streghen especially in the midfield but saying that a team like Utd still should have qualified from this group.
Yes he was a youngster but someone with Scholesque intelligence, if not equal at least somewhere close and lost lot better presence of mind than any of our CM bar Carrick. His game was simple, pass and move. He was available to receive pass everytime and he played quick passes which helped us to create chances and also to maintain possession. He was good with ball even under pressure, using his dribbling ability to move into space. We really missed him.

Precisely. Im ****** off, but we havent been good enough. Worried about cover/competition for cleverley, and it has really come to bite us. But the execution was so poor. Even an average displaye should have seen us crawl through tonight.
