The Manchester United Thread

Did Roy Keane say Giggs was the best player on the pitch? Was he watching the same game as all of us?

Who was better? He was the only one who played anything through the middle, and we almost profited from it a few times. Nani was better than him, though.

I'd say he wouldn't have made a difference. United had difficulty in creating chances, not putting them away, mostly anyway

Rooney was isolated and couldn't create anything, hence the multiple shots from tight angles and shooting with little space outside the area.

Nani for me, and perhaps even the Zurich GK. Didn't think anyone really stood out, so to say he was the 'best player on the pitch' was just a weird statement I thought.

Well Keane was hardly being flattering. It was more like "Giggs is 38 and was the best player, what the **** is going on!?". Can't be relying on him.

Exactly, hence why Hernandez probably wouldn't have made a difference tonight

If Hernandez was there he offers an outlet and creates space for Rooney deeper, where he's more effective.

who would you have dropped out of the starting line up for him? I'm still not convinced that having Hernandez in the team would have made a difference. Basel defended very well

The issue was the middle of the pitch, we held it without dictating it

dont see what Macheda brings to the team in my opinion hes just ***** same goes for Evans he's just **** and surely Valencia's better than Young too and why dont we have a creative Centre Midfielder argue with me all you want but these are the reasons why we wont win the league and Man ****** will and thats why were out the champions league

Evans has been pretty good this season compared to last season and Valencia looks like a shadow of his former self atm.

So, apparently Vidic is out for 4 months.

>.<

Here's hoping you're completely wrong but I fear the worst. Nemanja isn't the type of player to go down and stay down unless something is seriously wrong and he did look in agony when being taken off. The replay in slow motion doesn't fill me with much hope either. He'll be a massive loss in more ways than one how ever long he's out for.

I gotta say I'm pleased that came back and bit him in the ****. Proper ownage if you ask me. I love Fergie but that was very disrispectful to everyone involved.

Kinda silly question to ask tbh.Neither team really struggled imo. Man City didn't really struggle considering this is their first Champions League season, and went on to beat Bayern Munich 2-0. They were unlucky they didn't make it through. And Man Utd just needed a draw to go through, and nearly did it despite playing badly lately and facing a decent side that managed to get a draw at Old Trafford.
Maybe Ferguson should of said something like this instead of walking off, but I'm sure he's abit ****** off and can see the headlines tomorrow about United's team being too young and what not.

Well it didn't take too long for the papers-sorry toilet paper-to jump on the bandwagon. Apparently, there's a crisis in Manchester. I would post the link but it's the Daily Mail. 'Nuff said.

Barça 12 matches 8 wins, 4 ties 28 points....... Manchester United 12 matches 9 wins,3 ties 1 loss. 29 points Both are 2nd in their leagues...

So I'm guessing Barca are in crisis too. Jesus christ
