I agree with everything except the last part! I think what happened is injuries hit us at regular intervals. You know if you see our form in August we had cleverley and anderson so the manager must have thought that they will at least play 65-70% of the matches and the rest of them would be with rotation of giggs, park, carrick, fletcher and all the youngsters but neither that nor the defensive partnership worked that way! So yes now we need a midfielder and if vidic is injured for long time how on earth are we going to win anything? As mentioned before what this has done is it has opened cracks in our team which were plastered by our terrific form at the start! What do you think is needed sunil? I would love for us to win europa league no matter what the consequences and I know them! And those who say if we play youngsters we would lose. We might lose but these youngsters will get huge experience in european conditions!Phew now everything is done and dusted, here is my view on this. For some reason I'm not feeling low about this result. Simple reason being we never deserved it. We failed to beat Benfica and Basel in 4 attempts and we couldn't score more than a goal in a game for ages. We simply didn't deserve to qualify. Also our lack of CM is hurting us real bad. Can't really blame Fergie either. Anderson, Cleverley started off season so well, many thought there was no need for any midfielder if Anderson can continue his form. He had few poor games then was injured. When Cleverely played we looked lot better, but with him out we looked toothless.Playing Wingers/strikers in CM role didn't help either. Too many injuries made us to make too many changes in the team, we couldn't settle as a team and paid a big price. I lost count of no of CB pairing and CM pairing we used this season. Its impossible to be in sync with so many changes. Hopefully we will play youngsters only in Europa and sooner we get out, better it is. Horrible to watch Thursday nights and league games on Mondays. We should play likes of Ravel, Pogba, Fryers in this cup.

I would like us to play youngsters and back up players and see what they can offer. If we win good, if not then we can move on.
I would like to see one proper CM in Jan. Someone with balls like Keane.
Bollocks. I'd make the players who failed so badly in the Champions League play in this competition. They are the ones who failed us as fans so they should be made to make things "better" in a sense and besides, with Manchester City likely to field strong teams from here on in, we should do everything we can to stop them winning this competition. I'm fed up with hearing "focus on the league" ****, we are Manchester United, we should have a squad strong enough to take two competitions seriously and besides, wouldn't be doing just that if we were still in the Champions League?
You are right. I think most shameful for you guys would be to see City beat you to Prem AND go further in Euro aswell.

So you play them, tire them and in the process make them under perform in the league?
No thanks. **** happens. Players know that they have let us down, Fergie will give right kick in the ****. No need to do Phil Brownesque.
Tire them? my word, the are professional footballers, if they can't handle playing on a Thursday night and then a Sunday there is something wrong and besides, they would have played midweek in Champions League and then league again, no difference.
It's football snobbery is what it is.
So you must be knowing our record after Champions league games rite? We do so badly and often drop points coz of UCL hangover. Europa is not worth it.
And besides that you know how much we are struggling with injuries rite?
Professional players or not, by playing 1 game per week they can offer a lot better than playing 2 games in 3 days.
Hopefully we will play our back ups in the first 2 KOs, if we qualify for semi final they we can take it seriously.
Hmm, I can't be bothered to argue amongst ourselves. I think now that we're in it we should take it seriously to show why we the fans and the media seem to think we're far to big to play in this competition.
No harm in discussing about our club and priorities without dissing our insults
I'm not saying simply throw it away, we will have few players who needs games and we should use these games for match fitness. We never fielded team to lose or to throw it away even in Carling cup. We should follow same trend, mixture of youth and experience. It would be valuable experience for the likes of Ravel, Pogba, Macheda and co. They need games and we can't risk league games. Good chance to give our youngsters taste of European football.
Play them and you would best be prepared for another humiliating exit... you should take it seriously because its silverware all the same and winning it will only be good for morale.... Just because you will be playing 2 games in 3 days does not mean you should purposely set out teams to lose, its goes against the spirit of the game and these are footballers, they are paid to play football so if they cant handle 2 games in 3 days then something is seriously wrong
Plus you have a good chance of winning the Europa League as well, might as well try to win it rather than risk ending the season with no silverware... it wont make any fans depressed, winning the Europa League
