The Manchester United Thread

Nothing new here. Everyone knows Ferguson is a *****, but it is interesting to find out that he's effectively the reason that the Glazers were able to take control of the club; given the selfish legal battle with Magnier.

No wonder he won't speak out against them. Still, I doubt he'd care anyway, since he gets his money each month either way.

Lol what? You don't make any sense at all. Firstly, unless you've met Ferguson and are actually friends with him, you can't comment on how he is. Just because you've seen him on TV protecting his players from critics doesn't give you the right to call him a *****. Specially not someone whose been a manager of a single club for 25years and build it up to be the biggest club in the world. Lets not forget his knighthood either. If he was a "*****" I doubt he would of achieved all that.

To be fair, being a good person doesn't mean he's a good manager and vice versa.
Secondly, Ferguson has a reputation for being a bit of a hole when he wants to. Kicking out journalists, getting suspensions every season etc. For me, he does come across as a *****, but he's a good manager despite his *****-ness.

Ferguson can be the nicest guy in the world, or be the biggest ****, as and when he feels its needed. Being purely one or the other wont always get you everywhere

It's rather ironic. When he does finally retire, there's going to be loads of people who dislike him immensly who'll probably say "I actually miss him-the Premiership just isn't the same without him".

It's funny how it's mostly non-United fans who seem to think he's *****. Nevertheless, the man is a genius and has brought this club some fantastic moments. The day he does retire will be a sad day for United fans and football on a whole.

As for Roy Keane, well.. A fantastic player he was but what's he done since? Managed a few clubs, made a few ITV appearances and all of a sudden he seems to think people care about something that happened years ago.

It'll be a sad day when he goes-it'll be so weird not having SAF around. Think the same without Arsene Wenger too. They're like part of the furniture.

Couldn't agree more... Sir Alex and Arsene have contributed to how English football is seen to day in my opinion. Will be a sad day when either of them decide to call it a day.

And you lot defend Fake King *palm*

If you are bothered to read what fellow managers and other players have told about him, you could have made some sense when posting about him. Funny how Liverpool fans waits for a chance to spout bs about him.

For you lot he is a ***** because of what he has done to this club. Nothing more just bitterness.

United 'have held Gaitan talks'

The agent of highly-rated Benfica forward Nicolas Gaitan claims Manchester United have held informal talks regarding a possible transfer.

"I have not received any contact from United but there have been conversations between the two clubs," Gaitan's representative, Jose Irribaran, told Antena.

"If these talks progress, then we will get our time to speak.

"But Nico is very happy at Benfica and is looking forward to enjoying a successful season."
While Irribaran is prepared to shed some light on the transfer rumours, Benfica remain tight-lipped when it comes to Gaitan's future.

"The club do not respond to news published in the papers," a club spokesman told skysports.com.

Heard he is Silva type player, if he is then I wouldn't be against this transfer. We could do with a player like him. (I know he has played as a winger but from what I have heard he is Silva type player)

M'vila would cost £25M, get him instead. If we can get both, then that would be fantastic.

Trying to make it out that there's a rift in the Manchester United camp. Like normal nowadays for the Sun.
Still that was quite funny.
