Have a feeling that locking them in though is going to create some form of ill feeling and cause more problems than solving them. Never been in favour of locking fans in. Rival fans can simply wait outside a stadium for them instead.

there is always going to be violence due to the moronic fans on both sides but I guess this lets the majority of the Man City fans who aren't idiots leave without problem. However the same can't be said for the United fans who aren't there to cause trouble. Hopefully it is policed well. Locking them in allows Police to concentrate forces so hopefully will improve security

I swear to god some fans are mugs they really are. On FB they're complaining that Webb has made every decision against Newcastle as he and the linesman and the FA are against Newcastle.
