Please SAF, I'm not a Utd fan, but for gods sake buy somebody for midfield. It's being ripped to shreds

But not halfway through a season. He's a great professional. If anything he would assess where newcastle are in the summer. However he would could have played for any team and chose newcastle. Not for the money either cos he isnt getting a fortune
 
Cabaye is a great player. Would cwrtainly have him in Chelseas midfield.

Think this may stifle Ferguson to buy a midfielder in January after seeing his midfield get dominated by Cabaye/Tiote?

The CM question has hovered for years, can't see Ferguson changing his mind now.

Cabaye looked like a class above the United midfield tonight, I'm sure United will bounce back with a big win next time out and the questions over the midfield will quieten but I mean long term it needs addressing.

You take Ryan Giggs and Michael Carrick at this stage of their careers playing away against Tiote/Cabaye in the middle of the park and the pair of them were made to look so sub standard it was embarrassing.

Was no news to most people on this forum in the summer that Cabaye would probably be the transfer deal of the season, absolute steal for Newcastle. I'm surprised that the fact Cabaye/Tiote dominated Carrick/Giggs has actually surprised people, complete mismatch in my opinion.
