Whatever the context its poor taste regardless. The fact that City have offered multiple unreserved apologies shows it. Plenty people, regardless of who they support have criticised it. Although it will all blow over in a week.

Many of us with thicker skin can see the humour behind it. I also think it's rather obvious that Tevez isn't intelligent enough to come up with it on his own.

Agreed. Plenty of people have also endorsed it and/or found it amusing too, myself included.
 
It was obviously meant as a joke, and quite funny at that given SAF's past comments. Sad part is it will propably blow away Barton drama which actually was outraging

It wont, Barton has already been charged, nothing can happen till he answers them tomorrow. "Tevezgate" will blow over in about 2 days, Barton's will carry on, as there will be ramifications as to whether QPR will cut him loose.

I might actually agree with you if the person holding the banner didn't have an IQ that is actually somehow less than City's trophy haul over the past 40 years.

There is no way on earth that that neanderthal would be capable of understanding the apparent meaning of the banner as it was handed to him.

Get him sorted before pre-season, allows us to focus on other targets, especially if we cant do a deal, and have to sign a european player, who may play in the euros and get his fee increased. Clubs dont like doing business during Euros.
