Hmm not sure about Rooney playing the lone striker, yet to be convinced, just think he is such a better player behind the striker AM position. Macheda I would not really want us to gamble on him considering he has shown nothing much. Welbeck is good, Hernandez needs to try and improve his overall game.

Macheda has talent but really isn't someone we should rely on imo. He isn't exactly prolific in front of goal. According to wikipedia, he's made 6 appearances for QPR, 16 for Sampdoria, and 33 for United scoring only 6 in total.

Rooney was awesome 09/10 season playing as lone striker scoring about 38 gls so he can play lone striker with 1 leg, but prefers AMC/no 10 role.
 
With Kagawa coming in you might go for 4-2-3-1 as Mike has said plenty of times here. No need for 4 strikers then.

Well if we play the 4-2-3-1 formation next season, Rooney will no doubt be the lone striker with Kagawa behind him, not a bad person to get your supply off ;)

Macheda would only be back up dony think fergie will panic and just go sign another striker for silly amounts, and you must remember macheda was injured at QPR and did not play because of manager change same at sampadoria to.

I honestly don't want Evra as first choice LB for another season, he was so many times caught out last season. The people I would look at are Jordi Alba/Baines.

Yeah evra was pretty poor at times last season but dont think fergie will sell,thats why i said evra as first choice with fryers as back up till fabio retuens next season, fergie really rates fryers.
 
Evra had poor season ? Not quite. Average yes. Poor no.
 
So are Utd close to signing Kagawa? Havent been looking at alot of transfer news recently. Ofcourse I dont want to see teams who Chelsea could be challenging with for trophies next season but looking forward to seeing Kagawa in England if he signs.
