Not sure about Perdo Leon as never read anything about making bid and all that.

Also Canales was on loan at Valencia and then was injured for 6 months. They had option to buy and they exercised it.

Fair enough about Canales but Chelsea made a bid for Leon. Apparently Madrid felt it would be better for him to spend 6 months on loan at Getafe before moving there permanent

Also Madrid inserted a buy-back clause in Canales contract.

Not sure about it, City haven't strengthened at all. Maybe they will sign few players to improve first team but as of now they haven't.

We have Vidic back, Kagawa and maybe RVP too. If Anderson and Cleverley can remain injury free then we won't have a situation where we have to play Park Rafael as CMs. So in a way our squad is better than last season but a huge gap in LB position though, I mean back up.

So we only can do is hope for 2 players who have history with host of injuries in past seasons to remain injury free for a full season to make us champions thank you i am not that optimistic kind.

Other than Central defense depth, I don't think City really have any weak areas tbh

Yeah but Mancini doesn't think so. He wants few more signings. Maybe someone to cover for Yaya as without him they tend to struggle a bit.

Mancini is being a bit of a ****** at the moment. Criticizing the club in the press etc. Didn't the club support his bid for Hazard and now they just went and payed an inflated amount for Rodwell.

Also you can say its partly Mancini's fault they struggle without Yaya. He refuses to rotate Silva/Yaya then when they get injured City struggle.

Buy back clause doesn't prove anything in this debate ;)

I haven't read anything about Leon, if chelsea tried then fair enough.

Thankfully SAF is.

That's how manager feels. They will never be satisfied with the squad they have. They have no one like Yaya and Silva though. Nasri can play that role, but Silva is different class, so can see why he won't rotate with the pressure he is under.

Oh God haha. 24 million for a player with a year on his contract, not only that, a position you don't need, and someone who's what, 28?

Great player though.

Signing is worth it for the inevitable implosion of Piers Morgan.

Glad the move is all done and dusted, I heard it was £24m - a great amount of money.

Good luck at United Robin.

Partly unhappy about selling to United, but partly glad as I know we stood our ground and gained at least 20m from him and now United have less money to spend on more critical places. I have bad feeling he will come and bite us in the *** this season.

Edit: Fu*k me £24m? Thought theyd only be willing to go as far as 20m.
