Do you think Buttner should be first choice after this impressive debut?

Not after one game against Wigan. See how Evra reacts to the competition, keep Buttner close to the team and play the form player.

He was great in the final third but still bit shaky defensively. Impressive thing is he is not afraid to use the ball at all even if it's his first game. Very impressive debut and for all the right reasons Evra should be worried for his spot.

Hmm yeh Evra may rise to the challenge and perhaps return to some old form but as it has been so long you kind of wonder whether Evra is now permanently a shadow of his old self.

Buttnerrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.. What a goal.. He is superb in the final third, should improve defensively.. Superb debut for him.
Great debut already looks better defensive wise than evra seem to know when to go and when to stay back, and looks like can deal with phsical asbects of premier league what a bargain.

Plus buttner stil adjusting to new life in new country/league but am very impressed!

I think what I like about Buttner is that he was not afraid of going into tackles and he's absolutely fantastic in the final third! What a goal Powell! SAF would look at 4 consecutive home debut goals and will say that's value!

Was happy hernandez got his goal, and didnt let head drop after peno miss also put a great shift in to!

I noticed that you were talking about a possible replacement for Fergie. What do you think about Jurgen Klopp ? He has done wonders with BvB, winning Bundesliga twice in a row against teams like Bayern or Schalke.
He also develops the youngsters pretty well, and Bvb plays a lovely football.

Agree has done great job at BvB dont much about his history but does seem to be giving younger players time there, imo still think will be ex united player or someone already at club taking over from fergie ex-giggsy.

He's in my top 5 to replace Sir Alex, but I'd prefer Pep or Jose and I'm convinced it will be one of them.

Boss: Liverpool have our support

I didn't hear it [the chants at the Wigan game], but everyone else seemed to hear it. David Gill heard it in the director's box and was disappointed.

"David Gill heard it in the director's box and was disappointed. The chant is a new chant - it only started after the Suarez situation [the Liverpool forward was found guilty of racially abusing Patrice Evra last season].

"But in the current climate and having spoken on Friday, asking our supporters to adhere to the policy that we want to adopt - that we're completely in support of Liverpool Football Club at this moment in time and we understand what those families must have felt during the week when they got that report - it was disappointing to hear that.

"It's a minority, though, and in society there's a minority who want to be heard. That's the difficultly you've got nowadays.

"As a club we're totally in support of Liverpool and the situation they're in. It's going to be a very emotional day on Sunday and we'll support them in every way we can."

Looking forward to seeing how Nani does down the left.

Bench: Lindegaard, Ferdinand, Anderson, Cleverley, Fletcher, Hernandez, Welbeck

Great to see Fletcher back.

Stark was so funny tonight. We had another three penalties at Nani, Valencia and at the handball from Eboue.Galata also had at least one in the first minute + another possible one in injury time.

How many clear cut chances did Nani create in this game? Think Hernandez missed 2, RVP 1 and Kagawa 1. Still there must be few more still there are many ManUtd fans who wants him to be sold just because he is frustrating to watch :palm: (Not in this forum though)

His link up play with Kagawa was great to watch, should do that more often.
