The Manchester United Thread

You're being deliberately stupid. If every right back we had was exactly 100% like Gary Neville he wouldn't be our legend!

I am not saying Rafael is a bad player, I never said anything bad for him - I even outlined things he's better (a better left foot as well). My point was that every player is unique. And I think from what we've seen so far this season Rafael is maturing and has the potential to become a world class right back. And if he has the personality and especially loyalty he can become another United legend too. If by saying "the new Gary Neville" you mean exactly that - OK, we're on the same page. But I don't thing it's the correct way to say it.

At what point did I refer or disagree with anything that you have said above, I simply said I am glad Gary Neville is a one off and there aren’t any more RB like him. I Did not even mention Rafael, so do not call me stupid.
I agree that Gary Neville is a legend but he was more trouble sometimes than he was worth particularly in his later days of his career. In my Opinion Rafael is the best RB in the prem and hopefully will be for many years.

Rafael the best right back in the Prem? Don't be ridiculous. He's not as good as Kyle Walker, let alone Bacary Sagna.

To be fair GODCUBED may have a point i totaly forgot about bacary sagna, what had happend to him? and i do admit kyle walker is looking promising.

Broke his leg a while ago but is back now and playing for the Under 21's atm getting fit

Call me biased, but I'd prefer Glen Johnson over Rafael, too. Started the season brilliantly so far.

Sagna's probably the best though

Sorry mate, I thought you're being sarcastic about me. Rafael isn't currently what you want him to be as other have said already. Let's hope he will soon be though :)

No doubt I would take Glen Johnson over Rafael...... CURRENTLY. Rafael has been pretty impressive so far this season though and can cope with very tricky players. Rafael in a few seasons time might be up there as one of the best... at the moment he is very good but not great.

Lindegaard; Rafael, Keane, Wooton, Buttner; Nani, Fletcher, Anderson, Giggs; Hernandez, Welbeck.
Subs: Johnstone, Powell, Macheda, Lingard, Vermijl, Brady & Tunnicliffe.

Everyone has played well...except for Buttner. Get him off, stick Brady on, Alex is having a right mare.

Keane and Wooton are playing very well, this is exactly why I'm waiting for the FM13 editor so I can give those two the CA/PA they deserve.

Hopefully Nani will get a goal, and I'd like to see Lingard + Powell get a run out.

Agreed, obviously both -9s based on a League Cup game. SI are morons.
