Just like Fergie didn't sign CM, he didn't sign linesman. Refs are like wingers and strikers. We sign them all, linesmen are like CM, we won't sign any.
 
PLEASE SIR FERGIE SIGN FELLAINI IN JANUARY, HE CAN PLAY MULTIPLE ROLES INCLUDING THE ONE HE HAS THIS SEASON IN A SIMILAR TYPE OF POSITION TO KAGAWA. BUT IF WE BOUGHT HIM WE COULD PLAY HIM ALONGSIDE A SCHOLES/ANDERSON/CLEVERLEY. Manchester United will unveil a statue of Sir Alex Ferguson at Old Trafford before their game with QPR on 23 November as he celebrates 26 years at the helm.

Ferguson's first game in charge of United was against QPR in 1986 and the statue, commissioned last year to honour his quarter of a century in charge, will be revealed at 2pm. Ferguson has won 12 league titles, two Champions Leagues, five FA Cups and four League Cups during his tenure at the club.

The statue has been built by renowned sculptor Philip Jackson and will be positioned near the entrance to the Sir Alex Ferguson Stand, renamed in the Scotsman's honour last year. The club will also be unveiling new artwork and installations in the Sir Alex Ferguson Stand concourses to highlight his achievements at Old Trafford.

I don't think it was a penalty. His hands weren't raised to block the ball more than to just cover his face. It would have been much different had his hands been over his head or out wide. In the end Rooney missed the pen so no harm was done.

Also it shouldn't have been corner which lead to the penalty as RVP was offside when he took that shot which Mannone saved. So linesman's mistake lead to that penalty.

hands above his head regardless if he was trying to save his pretty little face, its a pen, had he put his hands on his face maybe a differnt outcome

Sit through the most tedious 70mins of football ever, flick over to watch the last bit of the Celtic game, missed RVP's goal. Bah.

Rooney penalty. 2-1. Coming from behind, winning when you're playing poorly, mark of champions etc.
 
Poor game last night, didnt have any emotions watching it even when we would have lost.
 
It was a strange game with a strange atmosphere. Felt like a training game to me. The conditions won't have helped but it was very poor. Nice to see Smalling get a game under his belt though, and I thought Rio looked good when he came on. His distribution from the back has been brilliant this season, classy defender.
