The Manchester United Thread

£22m buyout clause apparently in Fellaini's contract, I would take him instantly, still young, got a lot to offer not only with the ball at his feet but also he can play a variety of positions. Thoughts people?

We are linked with Shakhtjor's Fernandinho. Some Italian press said it's done deal. I don't believe a single word.

Boo hoo, you got a big team in final 16.

You might want to dig up and check our draws for the last 15 or so years before you make that judgement.

Don't mind if I do.

This years group; Galatasary, Cluj, and Braga. Hardly the group of Death.

Last years group; Benfica, Basel, and Giejguhuah. They also surprisingly finished 3rd in this group.

Should I go on?

Yes, since you picked 2 years out of 15...

Like i said look at every group and knockout for the last 15 years, instead of trying to be selective. You'll be surprised who we have come up against.

This is something stupid you are bickering on about, jesus it is based on seeding in the Champions League, United obviously therefore have a much greater chance of being in an easy group compared to City for example who have only just come into it and haven't even got past the group stages yet. So in all likelyhood they may very well have a hard group next season.

Was reading earlier on Sky Sports website that the odds of Lampard joining Utd had been slashed from 12/1 to 3/1 which I found interesting.

Honestly if Fergie signs Lampard I will cry, why on earth would we do that :'(. We need someone under 30 who is more of the combative nature.

Oh hi Fellaini/Fernandinho/Bender.

Lampard doesnt provide anything we are lacking. If Fellaini does have a 22m release then we should be looking to activate it

Have to say if that did happen I'd be staggered beyond reason. I love Lamps, and I know he can score goals but the Utd squad now need quality and at the right age. Still it's only a link, so it may not happen. But on the flipside, I suppose he could bring tonnes of experience to aid the youngsters I suppose and still has something to offer.

Aye he definately has it. The report certainly caught me by surprise when I saw it lol

And rather than looking to activate it, I'd prefer it hugely if they looked the other way-same for all of 'em lol

I reckon Lampard will goto QPR,he would never sign for Man United, cause outrage!!!!
I see your point but if you look back a couple of years and someone said to you we will sign him in 2012 and he will be our top scorer you would have thought that highly improbable, as would I.

I'd take him at Everton for a season if Fellaini does leave.
