The Manchester United Thread

So, hypothetically for now, everyone's first choice?

Since Klopp won't be available and Pep already signed by Barca it has to be Jose.

Choice between Pep and Jose was close, Jose brings lot of unnecessary distractions off the field which might be good for the club. So it was very close but since Pep is no more available will go for Jose hoping he will stay for many years.

No doubt Mou is second best, but his personality isn't for Manchester United. I would much rather had Solskjaer or Moyes over him. Some manager who can build his legacy, just like SAF did it. But, Sir Alex won't retire this year for sure.

He just did.

It had to happen some day. But it's a sad day. Now I just hope Mourinho doesn't come, but he will. You can't turn down Mourinho, right :S

Hard to think there's going to be someone else next year. All a lot of us have known.

Can't believe the fergie years are over.been manager nearly ad long as I've been living.

Its a very sad day, lets hope Man Utd don't make it any worse by announcing Jose Moron as his replacement.

Utd have a good young side, we need a manager that will nurture the squad not tear it to shreds.

David Moyes would be a good choice but his lack of trophies and European experience makes it unlikely to be him

Jurgen Klopp is probably my favourite for the job.

And then he leaves club in mess. Just like Chelsea, just like Inter, he'll, Real is a real mess even without him, but he took that mess on another level. But he is a winner.

We have a much better club structure than all of those clubs though.

It was hard for me when Roy Keane announced retirement, I couldn't picture the squad without him. But this is whole another level, I really don't know what to expect, it will never be the same without Sir Alex for sure.

Still, he's not a gentleman. Sir Alex wasn't a saint either, but at least he had limit. And his limits were his words, Mou likes to get a bit physical from time to time. He just don't fit in Untied story. He's not loyal, he puts himself above pretty much everything... I don't know.. It's hard to find words right now.

I just want to say thank-you to Sir Alex for years of service, dedication and success to the job. Thank you.

If Utd do go for a British manager and Moyes decides to stay at Everton, then don't rule out Nigel Clough worth a few bob as long shot.

I cannot actually believe what I am hearing/reading! What a sad, sad day for all football lovers! Thank you Sir Alex! We love you!
