Hmm, I get that. I do like Moyes a lot, but I think it's such a huge step to go from a trophy-less time with Everton on a shoestring budget to being the the next United manager. Mourinho will bring short-term stability while someone else can be groomed for the long term.

Whoever comes, it will be his hardest job yet. The amount of pressure he will feel is going to be unreal.

I actually think, or just hope, that this is the club where he wants to build a legacy. He'll never achieve anything better in football than continuing Fergie's work, and we all know he's been after the job for years.
 
Klopp all the way for me. Hopefully the pull of not just the club but the challenge of taking the shoes of SAF could be enough to prize him away from dortmund. He wouldnt have to worry of bigger clubs prizing his best players either and could enhance man utds style on and off the pitch by making shrewd signings the way he did with hummels, gundogan, piszcek, blaszyckowski and lewendowski. Then you get his track record with bringing through the youth which is superb, and his ability to develop players into some of the worlds finest. For me he is the german SAF, abit more of a nutter but thats a good thing. Many thanks to SAF though, a true legend of the game. The most passionate manager i have ever seen. It is so weird knowing that in all my 22 years i have known only SAF as manager of man utd and now he is going to be leaving us. Sad sad day.
 
To be honest, I really hope you don't get Moyes as your manager. That's another 20+ years of mightiness. I can't have that. Moyes is your best shot, simple as that. The timing is shocking though, did SAF have Moyes' contract saga at Everton in mind when he finally made that decision?

Saying goodbye to the best manager to grace this game without a doubt! Could see both Jose or Moyes as his replacement, if its Jose then so be it. I am not one of these Chelsea fans that is panicking or saying "if he goes there i will hate him".

Still in shock, Next season is going to be weird, my worst fear is becoming a mess like Chelsea and getting a new manager or two every season!

well my bank balance hopes it is klopp but I suspect it might be moyes. I personally think klopp is a better fit but like people keep saying about moyes its a sharpstep up from no budget to the one of if not the biggest club in the world so I don't think its such a great move. whoever it is I do not envy them how do you follow a god?
 
I highly highly doubt Klopp would be announced as the next United manager when he still has a Champions League final to play. Although stranger things have happened..

the leagues already done and dusted and tbf if players cannot motivate themselves to play in a European cup final because they are gunna have a new boss next season well they need to get a new profession

also If its going to be announce in next 48 hours its probably a done deal they would've waited till the end of the season but glazers are protecting the share price all this speculation could potentially harm it so they have acted. be interesting whoever it s
