So Rooney and Nani probably leaving. That's got to be enough money to buy C.Ronaldo right?

As long as he goes abroad and we get an equal replacement, I'm relatively happy to see him go. No doubts about his ability, but two requests in 3 years, is too much. Loyalty goes both ways.

Who do you see as an equal replacement Mike?

I see Rooney maybe ending up at PSG or maybe even Bayern if he does actually leave

Rooney has been nothing but trouble with the club anyway, demanding transfers, strong arming them for increased wages. Him and the club were never going to get along, Fergie couldn't get rid of him though.

Not many clubs he could realistically go to, PSG maybe. Bayern don't need him at all, unlikely to go to Spain and hardly anyone else could afford his wages outside of Chelsea/City.

I agree Bayern don't need him but not many have the money for him. To be honest, for the wage he is on, I think hes being well over paid. Top player but I've always thought he gets more hype as he is English.

PSG will have the cash, and would probably like a player of Rooneys reputation at the club

I wouldn't mind if we sell Rooney and get someone like Isco or Mata ( man can dream).

Let him go i say like a previous comment stated 2 requests in three years is ridiculous especially at a club like man utd not to mention doing this while SAF is in charge. Rooney is disrespectful not just to the club and the fans but to SAF who put his trust in him and hes been average for the past two years. Get rid and bring in players that actually want to play for a club as big as utd. If 30 million is offered which is the sum getting talked about id bite anyones hand off wether it be in the prem or abroad because quite frankly if rooney cant look after himself or motivate himself to perform his very best for man utd then hes got no chance anywhere else has he. I hope UTD dont spend 30 mil on one player like a lewendowski or falcao or even ronaldo for this instance, rather spend it on the key areas, maybe CB as i dont see smalling being able to cut it in the big games if he is a replacement for vidic or ferdinand, CM is a must i dont like cleverly there he hasnt proven anything or that he can make united play. I hope Chicarito isnt sold but i think converting welbeck to a winger maybe a good move, nani needs to go like rooney he just isnt motivated anymore to play and hes been given chance after chance to show what he got and failed overall to perform to the level. same with anderson get rid. that should then bring in some extra cash. Only then after signing the other positions i mentioned should we consider another striker. If i had to lewendowski could be a good fit with RVP depending on how the new manager wants to play formation wise.

If we are talking about forwards, then Lewandowksi. I prefer him to Falcao.

Midfield we are talking about Bale/Reus and formerly Gotze. That's the kind of quality you need to look at.

Any idea where Cavani will end up? Another top forward around the standard of Lewandowski / Falcao imo.

Only problem with Lewan is that he's just like Dzeko, but with more pace. Not sure how suited to Man U he would be. All depends what style Moyes/whoever would bring I suppose.

Lewandowski is a lot more rounded, considerably quicker, much harder working, with a better support and link up game.

Wouldnt take Cavani, Lewandowski relatively speaking is the least of the trio in most people eyes in terms of pure finishing, but when you factor in his link up I think he is the superior player.

I think his slightly smaller size is a major factor in that tbf. Dzeko can play as well as him on his day. His lack of mobility and clumsy-ness ruin it for him though. Not much he can do about his body though tbf.

I just think Lewan is a tad overrated at times. With all that behind him, it would be hard not to score. Still probably the best ST in the Bundisliga. Dortmund really need to step it up this summer too. With Gotze & Lewandowski both leaving, factoring in the fact that they need to buy a new ST as Schieber is pretty poor. Leitner & Bittencourt might be able to step-up though.

EDIT: I would like them to get this kid as well. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yoichiro_Kakitani. They need a new Kagawa since you feckers took him.

Lewo is a great player, very intelligent on and off the ball! Falcao is great, don't get me wrong, but he is old school CF type of player!

Rob's link up play is fantastic, with Kagawa just behind him, things could turn out quite nicely especially when you could have Ron outwide with Young/Valencia/Zaha

Moyes will work his magic, but yah would love Bale or Reus if we cannot land Ron!

Maybe Baines and Fellaini would switch as well?
