Balague is probably the most connected journalist in the world. Things change, you can't bee right all the time. I believe him on this one especially, he's already said he doesn't think it will happen next summer because Real Madrid don't want to sell next year.

Alex Shaw from ESPN said a few weeks back that there's been many occasions where a team has pulled a 'media blackout' pre/post game in the mixed zone, but players have ignored all journalists and gone straight over to him and shook his hand/high fived him. He has a genuine relationship with so many top, top footballers and people at top clubs.

And he has been wrong plenty of times in the past few years as well mate. Not saying that Ronaldo might not come back to United but I certainly don't see any credence being added to the rumours simply because it came out of Balague. Also correct me if I am wrong, but did Balague break the story? If not, he is just rehashing stuff that's already been said by Valdano and others

Name me one journalist who hasn't been wrong lots of times in the past?

He did break the story that the clubs have been in discussion and that United are ready to take him back. He also broke De Gea, Suarez, Bale and Di Maria. In fact, he had Di Maria's squad number and fee before anyone. Everyone that reported that story had Balague as their source, because he broke the story.
