The Manchester United Thread

And yet you love players like William Carvalho who plays in the same league.

I didn't say I love him, William Carvalho is still young and someone who hasn't had his chance at a big team in one of the big leagues, Nani more than has.

Plus not to mention our midfield before our signings, was diabolical, so I could of made a case to sign a lot of players.

Do you really want Nani back if he has one good season at Sporting? Seriously how many seasons has he been disappointing for us before finally letting him leave... on loan.

I think I have already posted a lot about this myth that Nani was always bad for us. He was more than good enough and only in the last 2 seasons he was poor as he was injured a lot.

I can easily search a post from you saying you want us to sign Carvalho more than Vidal, that post itself says everything.

Also Nani has performed well for his NT, in the PL, in CL. Nani's issue was always confidence, fit and in form Nani would be among the best attackers at the club.

Tbf it's still early in the season. Then again Nani is showing what he can do when he gets a run of games so maybe this is what he needs to revitalize his career and finally fulfill his amazing potential

It was always the case with Nani, run of games and a backing from manager which reportedly he didnt get last season.

It's different because I never even said I loved William Cavalho.

Just because I may of made a case to sign him back in the summer doesn't mean I said I love him.

Louis van Gaal confirms Wayne Rooney is fit for the derby but Falcao misses out through injury. Antonio Valencia could also feature. #mufc

More on Rooney: "He has scored a lot of goals against City, the most of any player. I am very happy that he can play, and he shall." #mufc

On winning the derby: "That is our goal, to win. It is possible, we are growing, we are developing ourselves. What we have seen of City in the last few matches was not so good. You never know."

On the magnitude of the game: "This is the biggest derby that I shall manage. It is one of 38 [league] matches we have to play, but for the fans it is unbelievably big as a rivalry and I have felt that also with a lot of the players in the squad, but also especially with Ryan Giggs. When he presented the analysis on City, I felt more tension with him. It was good to see."

More on Giggs' contribution: "He has transferred the idea of emotion and I have transferred the idea of how we have to play." #mufc

Fully expecting city to turn it on against us like always same goes for liverpool when we play them, cup final and all that for the both of them. But under LVG i'm more content in what ever happens and less fearful compared to last season with moyes when i was worried about newcastle or fulham at home.

Derby day is here lads:)

Going with my lineup being -

De Gea
Rafael-Smalling-Rojo-Shaw
Blind
Herrera-Di Maria
Fellaini
RVP-Rooney

Think Januzaj will start over Herrera, although I'm not sure that's the best idea. Think we'll go 4-2-3-1 so Rooney will still help us win the midfield battle against City's 2 CM's.
