The Manchester United Thread

Always thought this was a game for mata, glad he won us it and shaw is brilliant i have a feeling he could be in the top 3 for our player of the year.

Fellaini just needs to be selected for certain games imo.

Against the likes of southampton and arsenal not sure if playing all three of fellaini, carrick and blind will bode well, seem to slow things down and i know carrick/blind both played due to our lack of cb's but just a thought.

Herrera would return by this point. Could well have actual options in CM

Poor performance but at least we have some points to show for.

Luke Shaw is a gem, amazing player and defensively very very good. Attacking wise he is taking more risks game by game.
Fellaini was his old self. Crystal palace parked bus so strikers couldn't get behind the defense. Not sure why Herrera was not on, he would have been brilliant for these games.

Mata completely changed the game, apart from goal he even retained ball well which was very good to watch.

Also Rooney must be the most selfless star player in the league and in the world. Puts shift in every position and tactically he was very good.

I hope it's just because like Mike said resting him and letting him fully recover (if he hasn't already) from that rib injury in time for the games against Southampton and Arsenal.

Will have to see who come back fit. Can see Carrick starting most games tbh.

People shouldn't be warned just for having a difficult or frustrating opinion. The things that draw infractions should be the ones that kill discussions, lead them in endless circles or outright troll people. Zzezzy might have some silly ideas but the second one is the only thing he's really guilty of, and even then it doesn't seem malicious.
I don't want to name people. But some of them are not discussing, they are ******** and they are ******* blind. They are not here to discuss, they are here to moan. I don't find that amusing and productive and I would warn them because they don't contribute anything bar post count in this thread. That's the same reason why Chelsea thread had more pages than this thread. If you can remember two years ago, Chelsea thread was anything but normal discussion.

Even though it was a poor game and maybe not the best performance but keeping a clean sheet and winning 1-0 is quite satisfying, the old head carrick probably helped.

A few weeks ago we were laughing at Liverpool in the Chelsea thread and you told us we were being terribly off topic: that the Chelsea thread was for club matters only, rather than Chelsea fans.
I honestly don't remember saying anything like that. I did say something similar in this thread week ago, that if it's possible I would rather not read about Liverpool in this thread after almost full page 'spamming'. But I have no recollections of saying anything even similar to that. Would like to link me though.

Admit it, you just want to keep him in this thread and out of yours ;)

Been linked with a 16m move for Florian Thauvin in the papers this morning in Jan. Apparently this is who Giggs has been going to watch in France on his visits there. Not seen much of him but from what I have read seems very highly rated, some French media saying the next Ribery. Can anyone add anything about him. Also linked with Depay and Strootman in Jan.

I have a lot of love for Luke Shaw at the moment. Particularly during the time that he was out, at almost every turn he was being criticised. He's just got on with it, and let his performances do the talking - which they have done in a great capacity.

If he and Di María can combine down the left better and build an understanding, they will become a fantastic component in our attack.

He had a lot of hype going into last year's under-20s tournament. I watched him and, whilst he does have a bright future, he's still raw. An ambitious player who is slowly but surely proving his worth. Needs more time before such a bid can be placed.

RE Strootman: we ****** up.
