Also reports saying Reus to Madrid done deal in Summer. And few papers here and abroad linking us with Summer move for Bale after being unhappy at not being guaranteed starter. And remember Balague saying he has not been happy a few weeks back on TV and had a bust up with Carlo. Will be interesting Winter/Summer window any hows.
 
FABIAN SCHAAR AN ACTUAL CENTRE BACK - ADMITTEDLY I KNOW LITTLE ABOUT... BUT STILL EXCITED THAT IT IS A CENTRE BACK THAT WE WILL PERHAPS HAVE A CHANCE OF IN JANUARY.

Reasons are, apparently his contract only had 6/7 months left so they will probably want the £££ but they have progressed in the CL, however realistically it's just going to last 16 or quarter finals at best, I doubt he'd not want the United move.

Watched him a lot lst 3-4 yrs is very athetletic with enough pace and is great in there air in both boxes. Would be chuffed to get him in and ship Evans out.

Schaar is modern CB, strong, quick and tall. He's at the right age to move to some bigger club. He reminds me of Prodl when he was younger bar the injury problems. I would be extremely happy with him.

With his contract situation as well could be able to get for decent price to. And is comfatable with both feet.
 
I'd be pleased with Schar, seems like a good footballer aswell as a good defender as we have zero footballing cb's, evans was decent pre mental and physically losing it all in some experiment it seems.

Rojo is actually very good on the ball and his passing out from the back is also good. Feel for Evans really thought he would make a top CB few years ago, but has regressed so bad its unreal. On a side note we have an excellent CB coming through our Academy called Fosu Mensah, great at all aspects of defending and is very good on the ball and at dribbling. Could easily play CM.

I also like evans but maybe vidic/rio made him look good and carried him, not the first time it would have happened with cb partnerships but him and jones as a partnership just doesn't fill me with any sort of confidence.
 
Gotta start di maria against newcastle he'll run their midfield and defence into fits especially with no tiote but i can see the case saving him for spurs away.

Yeah agree maybe save him and start Januzaj, and bring Di Maria off the bench.

He was signed from Ajax this season. Looks excellent talent and his defensive skills are very good. Still not sure whether he is a CB or a DM. Looks home in both positions.

I think it's funny you make it sound like it's a problem. In the Netherlands we think it's really useful to play different positions, so you understand the game better and other roles. Are more versatile for tactical changes etc. Just take a look at Blind for example. He's now a DM, but used to play until last year at the LB position.
