Bit harsh on Mata tbh he was great 1st half vs Spurs plus don't have lot of choice.

I think people tend to forget that Mata is someone who plays at his best when the rest of the attack is on point. Whenever I watch him play for you, he's always trying to create something or liven things up whilst the rest of the team slows it down and plays aimlessly. Reminds me of him trying to drag Torres across the line.
 
Please just get Godin, a fullback (coleman, clyne, danillo or whoever) and someone pacey from now until the summer so we can replace evans and actually have a good selection of fullbacks.


Also 3 at the back formations please **** off forever. I also see RVP has reverted back to playing poor.

I think we will bring in a couple this window most probs on the defensive side.

4 at the back with smalling or jones partnered with an experienced cb and we'll see a difference. Also even with the way fellaini rebirth i still think a cheeky bid for Schniderlin wouldn't do any harm.

Also if we don't sign falcao next season i can 100% see LVG getting a striker in, hopefully with some pace.

Falcao is already done dealio. I like Schneiderlin but cant see us getting him in Jan as Koeman has said so many times recently and not for anything less than 35m which is to much imo. Think Rojo and Smaliing are our best partnership, Jones has been vey rash this season.

Rojo and smalling is probably a good partnership for now but maybe i'd be wrong because he hasn't played in this league but Godin would make a huge difference he'd make smalling and jones look miles better like rio and vidic did.

Take cahill for example, not great but terry makes him look that much better imagine how good smalling would be with terry.
 
LOL love how he dismisses any transfer talk. Especially after last season when it was coming out from everywhere and Moyes throwing names around and getting peoples hopes up.
 
I'm desperate to say a midfield 3 of carrick, blind and di maria but sadly we don't have the wingers to play a 4-3-3 unless we used di maria as one and put herrera with blind and carrick.

Jones tries to over-compensate. Put someone more experienced next to him and he can be excellent. But yes, recently, Smalling seems a lot more composed than Jones. Someone mentioned Danilo - an interesting option, actually, more solid than Rafael, though less attacking output. Anyone know of any hear about us looking at him?

I like Godin but 30m+ for a 29 yr old.

I agree put a prime vidic, vlaar, godin, terry, kompany with jones and he'd look fantastic.

Yeah i mentioned danilo, would he be a cheaper option to a coleman? i never know with these porto players.

I heard a couple of Russian clubs are faves for Danilo and nothing from us. Did see something about Mario Fernandes the other day though.

You can't say it's too much for him but the other day say you don't care about player prices during the bale discussion.

If we really want a top cb then pay the money if not then we stick with trying to gel and improve what we have.
 
Never thought i'd say this but shame about young, could be a bad one but now even more of a case to go and get a fullback.

Its not the cash so much its the age he is in relation to what he would cost. And Bale would be at the club for years and have a big sale value and would bring so much cash to the club also. I don't mind paying top dollar but you have to take other things into consideration.
