Delaney thinks we'll sign two this window, let the guessing begin if there is anything in this.

Strootman/Gundogan/Coleman and a CB would be magnificent.

Joking aside. I just wanna see blind, rojo,Fellaini, shaw,Valencia, rafa back this weekend that will be like new signings to me. Think we should have everyone fit by this week defo next. Good news this weekend game they will be missing some key players. Going for 2-0 win.

hope van gaal will use a different formation like a back four and we need our fast players back

Wish I was as optimistic, I'm just thinking we'll settle with what we have and wait for the summer sadly, it could cost us, but I think that's what we'll do. Despite our bad defence, needing a good all round box to box type midfielder and fullbacks.

Also not to mention like Yiliang mentions, we only have ****** slow players in our team these days, apart from Di Maria, all our other attacking players lack any real pace, unless you count Wilson.

We have conceded 20 league goals this season, Chelsea and City have conceded 19. Our defence is not as weak as is being made out, and we'd be right up there if we hadn't drawn so many games.

And of course you count Wilson, he's one of our first team attacking players!

Stats only tell half the story in my view, we haven't had a solid foundation to build upon this season and therefore LVG's system is constantly being built to cover the cracks, also due to injuries as well admittedly, but when we have players like Smalling/Jones who are injured every month and Evans waiting in the background (with some young prospects who aren't ready lets admit it) it tells the proper story.

Plus I don't think our defence fills anyone ahead of them with confidence, no natural leaders to command the line like we've had in the past and I think it is negating some of our attacking threat because players are scared to take a chance in games at the risk of exposing our defence, just my theory of course, there is no way I can prove it, but when you consider how few chances we're creating in games, we're just lucky to have lethal strikers.

I agree, the youngsters aren't quite ready yet but we have to give them the chance to improve, and you have to expect mistakes in order to progress them as footballers. I agree that Evans isn't good enough defensively too, but if we'd had the continuity of Chelsea and City, I think we'd be right up there competing with them.

It's just a shame that Smalling and Jones are made of glass, they have looked exceptional in spurts this season and a back three of Rojo, Smalling and Jones has exceptional pace and defensive quality imo. Add De Gea to that defence and we look very strong.

I'm looking forward to seeing Blind and Carrick play together, I think we'd look really solid with two intelligent, defensive players in front of a back three or four.

Actually despite having doubts about the Rojo signing, he has looked very promising for us so far and I hope he can turn out to be a great player for us. Smalling/Jones they both have ability and can be very good (as shown with certain performances this season) it's just the injuries that keeps holding their progress back, I hope Rojo can return alongside one of them so we have some continuity in the back line - that is indeed an important thing, but I agree with what you're saying.

Hmm, our first signing, Victor Valdes, lets not all cheer at once (6)

Admittedly not the most exciting in the world, surprised he's come here if I'm honest considering if De Gea is staying he'll barely get any games.

Yes I'm getting a bit pessimistic about the De Gea situation if I'm honest, he needs to hurry up and sign a new contract.

Hummels incoming :) Talk that Valdes will have no effect on De Gea getting new contract :) Wow Hummels and Valdes :)

Sport Witness @Sport_Witness Follow On Hummels. We asked the Italian journalist who claimed a Man United bid had been made for more info. He said it was made 3 days ago. [1/2]
