Blind and Carrick together, dunno why but just doesn't seem like it will work in the same team, I know this is a 3-5-2 so one of them shall be in defence but it's really lacking any real energy/pace apart from Di Maria.

Herrera should be in there IMO definitely instead and this 3-5-2 is such a load of cobbles, please sign a ****** fullback or two this window so we don't have to keep using this. Rafael out again.... not surprised, it's going to constantly happen, we need at least two fullbacks, one this window.

I was wondering the same but for Rojo, if he's not injured, where the **** is he?

Just want everyone who is too young to know this (i was too but heard this during the week). Current Southampton manager Ronald Koeman played majority of his career as a centre back. He wracked up 685 games in his career scoring 239 ******* goals!!!!!!!!!! Let that sink in a minute!!!!
 
Yeah, but he didn't usually play as CB, he played as libero. Which allowed him to burst forward often and use his powerful shot.

If I remember correctly, back in the 90s Koeman held world record for most powerful shot ever recorded.
 
People think then, LVG just loves the 352/3412? or is just waiting for the right back he wants, better cb and good widemen and we'll see a whole new formation hopefully the 433 once that happens?

That's what I honestly think mate. I really do think he thinks were not good enough atm defensive wise to play 4 at the back.
 
Good possession and Saints have not had a sniff after the 1st min. And don't look like a threat as they did at home. Think Blind has helped out in that respect. Our poor final ball is whats costing us atm Di Maria clearly not match fit imo.

Apart from the diamond or a really narrow 4231 also don't have the right balance in midfield either tbh.

Reus or Bale would change that..............
