Evans may well go, But i would imagine we will sign 2/3 defenders this summer, so losing someone like Evans( Personally i think Smalling will go and Evans stay) isnt a great loss

God i hope Smalling don't go and cant see it he is our best CB atm and Evans has had his chance and is no youngster anymore, he is suppose to be the leader of the defence now at his age not the looser sounds harsh but hes just poor.

Smallings ability on the ball is why LVG wont want to keep him i think, He loses concentration and is appaling on the ball. His concentration levels are the main concern, He got himself sent off in the Derby with total idiotic behaviour and LVG wont want to keep that around, that is why Jones and Rojo will be preffered to him, and if we sign 2 more defeners, I really dont see a place for him.

You do realise we can buy more than one player at once? Nobody is saying a striker is more important. It was my opinion that i think we should go for one around the age range of 21-26 and replace RVP/falcao.

That's just sentiment which is why fletcher is still playing for the club, if the young players aren't good enough they aren't good enough regardless if they are club grown or not.

I do realise we can sign more then one player lol,

But the point is we are prob going to sign 2 central defenders, a full back and a Midfielder or two before a striker, RVP isnt going to leave this summer and we have James Wilson etc.

No-one ever said they werent good enough, You called them Maybes, Which every young player is, regardless of Nationality.

Tbh thats not true Smaling has started every game when fit and has been our best CB this season by a mile and is better than Jones on the ball but both are poor tbh. Evans will go with McNair and Blacket and Thorpe add to that Keane has gone already. We will sign 2 CBs in the summer leaving us with Rojo,Smalling,Jones another top young CB signing and a more experienced CB signing. That leaves us for 5 CBs for all comps next season which is about right.

I don't think blackett will be or is, you could say keane is far better and he was sold to burnley. With a decent loan Mcnair could get to a evans/smalling level in the future.

He didn't start today and was fit.
 
I mean i'm not saying smalling is great and if i could i'd swap him, jones and evans for hummels, godin and varane in a heartbeat.
 
And if people still want us to have british players but not smalling or evans then Stones imo.
