The Manchester United Thread

Fletcher coming back to play in PL shows his mental strength more than anything. Very good player for us and excellent for 2 seasons. I think it's right time to leave rather than staying and remembered for wrong reasons.

Not sure if he can play at decent level for West ham, so giving 3.5 years contract is a risk for WHU
Cant be no worse than Nolan :)

The following is (slightly) tongue in cheek but contains a number of pertinent questions (that are getting louder by the match):
- How many more signings will it take to get Manchester United playing at a pace above pedestrian?
- If none of 3-5-2, 4-3-1-2, 4-1-4-1, 3-4-1-2, 3-3-3-1 or 3-4-1-2 formations bring a notably different change in fortunes, at what point does it become the manager's fault?
- Why has Angel Di Maria been playing up front, and has being played out of position damaged his confidence?
- Why have United scored just five goals in six matches against Spurs, Stoke, Yeovil, Southampton, QPR and Cambridge, given the resources at Van Gaal's disposal?
- Why is Ander Herrera so out of favour?
- If you want to play a short, passing game, why does Marouane Fellaini feature?
- Why has Adnan Januzaj fallen from grace so quickly?
- Given that United have no European commitments, why have their performances in cup competitions been so woeful?
- Why is Phil Jones taking corners?
- No really, why is Phil Jones taking corners?

1. Atleast 4
2. Could be debated it already is.
3. LVG thinks we're holland and that di maria is robben.
4. Zero tempo, ***** midfield and passing it sideways.
5. Too "weak" and not named wayne rooney.
6. I'm lost on this one :)
7. Lack of games, out of position? and perhaps confidence or he isn't that good.
8. We've been ***** in cups for a while now unless that's a selective memory from myself.
9. Philosophy.
10. No really, philosophy.

#MUFC Valdes, McNair, Thorpe, Blackett, Vermijl, Anderson, Pereira (A), James, Powell, Lingard, Janko. Good line up that.

1-1 Jerome Sinclar with a great strike after poor play from Blackett and Reece James. Valdes concedes on his debut.

Pretty dire 1st half tbh. Pool look better on the ball in midfield for sure. Some of our supposed 1st team prospects have been average at best atm, showing glimpses but not a lot of anything else. Can see why some aren't getting new contract or might be sold.

Tough away tie in the fa cup if we get past cambridge.

My prediction for the fa cup is arsenal, easy for them they'll probably beat west ham or stoke in the final.

Thing I have noticed about Utds youth level is that we have lots of defenders and No10s but no wingers or STRs.

In other news laporte apparently has a 31m release clause, **** me do it now woody.
