The Manchester United Thread

Guillem Balague @GuillemBalague Follow On Laporte. Buyout clause £31m. Athletic Bilbao, who expect an offer from MUFC, wont sell for less. Laporte happy 2 go if Utd pays full fee

Jason Burt @JBurtTelegraph Follow Darren Fletcher granted a free transfer. If he signs for West Ham his first game could be Feb 8... at home to Man Utd

Even harder for him then with rooney, mata, fellaini and januzaj.

Yeh but if we persist with 3-5-2, Rooney stays as CM, Mata has been pretty rubbish, I think he should actually get some game time, he always looks like he can create something.

We have plenty of players who can create we just prefer to pass it sideways.

Pereira is more of a no.10 though

No. He was 10 but he has been immense in deeper role. His calmness on the ball and the way he carries the ball is superb. He should get few chances and without any doubt he should start against Cambridge at home.

Apparently Depays agent has been in contact by Utd and Spurs in the last few days.

Hopefully we get him. We need quick players and he fits in perfectly with the profile we always used to sign. Quick and a goal threat wide player from inferior league.

Ikr? We need pace rather bad. If only, to remove the 3-5-2 at present. 2 pacy wingers in di MAria and Depay, with one tricky one in Januzaj *should* be enough to go 4-3-3 or a 4-2-3-1 hopefully.. I'd have loved Reus, but sadly, that won't happen. Depay is still an excellent choice, although he still needs to work on his decision making a bit, but that will improve with age. Wonder what happened to the Iker Muniain links though, he was another one I liked..

Iker Muniain has been pretty poor tbh this season and back end of last, development has definitely stalled.

SSN reporter James Cooper was reporting from OT today saying he expects some big names and stellar signings and Adidas want to start there partnership off with a bang. Also sad LVG has more money to spend than last season and funds are not an issue.

Woody will love this, gives him an excuse to for Cavani who he seems to have a man crush on.

I'd rather we done some vidic, evra, ronaldo or carrick type signings. less expectations bigger payoff (rojo could end up on tbf) but obviously throw in one or two bigger names.

Cant see us signing Cavani as I think Falcao deal is done. Will go big for someone like Pogba,Bale,Ronnie,Muller someone like that then players like Strootman,Depay,Clyne,Hummels,Laporte,Marquinhos.

Falcao deal isn't done imo far too much talk from the media and his agent that suggests it's all up in the air.

Atleast i hope it isn't done.

If he gets first team football then fair enough but bad move, blackpool are horrific.
