The Manchester United Thread

hopefully his project wont take too long he usually only lasts 3 seasons.

Well, tbh, within those seasons, he tends to achieve excellently, and in some instances, over-achieve. His style of play is definitely different than what we've come to see from Fergie (I rather liked Fergie's style of play, but I doubt anyone but him could pull it off with our current team), but LvG is atleast way better than Moyes' style of play

Correct me if I'm wrong but don't you support City?

Just asking because you said hopefully this project won't take too long, usually we hear that from own fans or neutral fans.

They didnt need as much work either, you could even argue bar AZ, he took over the top team in each league anyway. Barca had just won the treble, Bayern he took from 2nd to 1st. I think he'll be great for you i just dont get which club he supposedly stamped his style on from the above article, bar the national side? Reading the above article it just seems an Italian stlye rather than a United, suppose i'm just not ready to see the 90-10 United style go just yet :(

Yes. I'd still rather see United playing decent football, they used to be worth watching.. :)

fast, attacking, free flowing has always been the United i know, (bar 85-88 ish) but still better than the current style.. its terrible to see, compared to what we know.

He did with Ajax, but that's a long time ago.

Even then that style was pretty much already there to begin with. I get the idea but i just dont see him changing the DNA style that is United.

LVG for me is the right strength of character for the job, with the wrong philospophy for United.

I think so but will be really tight. Few rumours going round Rooney up top with Fellaini behind.

Am I the only one here who cant stand the sight of FELLAINI?! I advocated us buying him but I think he slows us down and I hate the team we become with him in attack ...

Not the biggest fan but if he can do a job and help us secure results this season, that will do for me.

My team prediction -

De Gea
Valencia,Smalling,Rojo,Shaw
Herrera,Blind
DiMaria,Fellaini,Young
Rooney

Or could maybe swap Young for Januzaj or Mata. That's what I think he will go with.

LMAO off at this :)

Fellaini aint playing up top he will play off the STR that's even if he does start. If LVG goes with 2 STRs Falcao will start.

My point still stands because rooney could play the deeper role and falcao up top if he had any sort of future here.

There is a reason he has chose Fellaini over Falcao and its not ability. Is Arsenal always struggle against big and strong opponents.
