The Manchester United Thread

Just a bit of a dip, not sure if there is particularly a reason... Coutinho has stepped up and in a similar position it may be hard for both to shine continuously perhaps
Do you think Sterling could start up top this game due to Sturridge lack of fitness and form atm, like Carragher was suggesting?

I said the same as Carragher, I wouldn't play either Sturridge or Gerrard but i think Rodgers will certainly start Sturridge and is likely to go with Gerrard as well

Yeah I agree I would not start with either especially Gerrard! Don't have a clue what LVG will do, maybe swap Di Maria for Mata for pace on counter and I think that's it.

1. Our away form is *****
2. It's Anfield
3. They haven't lost in something like 11 league games?

Our away form is quite concerning...only 4 away wins this season...that's abysmal...

But there's a possible positive...LVG may have found his Juventus moment he had back at bayern...after 28 games...LOL...

That is, after the tottenham game

Rodgers will do what he did with city and start sturridge on the bench

Im not saying we have turned the corner yet. But that 1st half against Arsenal and the Spurs game certainly feels like were close. It was always going to take time but at the same time was always going to happen sooner or later.

Its like I said a few weeks ago, once it comes to playing the big boys in the important games, it will give us the kick up the **** we need. We was unlucky against Arsenal and they only won because of a sloppy back pass, and we destroyed Spurs with a good team performance.

Its no surprise that the team without RVP, Falcao and Di Maria did so well. Rooney in his best position scoring goals, Fellaini's strengths being utilised to help the team, Herrera given a run of games, the return of Carrick. I just hope Di Maria doesnt walk back into the team because he's done nothing to gain an automatic place. The team against Spurs should be given another run out while confidence is high and try to build some momentum. If we keep winning, let Di Maria sit on the bench till he gets his head from up his **** and learns to pass a ball 5 yards instead of constantly giving it away. I wouldnt mind so much if it was attempted though balls and defense splitting passes that was losing posession but its simple passes to a nearby team mate.

Despite all the criticisms, for the past 3-4 games, i've been seeing improvement...I would often come here and say, "we were just unlucky"...

LVG may have been getting bits and pieces from those 3-4 games prior to the spurs match and just put the pieces together and we kept a clean sheet against an inform spurs side that gave liverpool a run for their money at anfield

Don't be too harsh on di maria...he was having a good game vs arsenal before the sending off...

I honestly dont think so. For most of the first half he was stood on the half way line with his back to their goal and when he recieved the ball he was passing it back to the nearest man. Doing absolutely nothing. Or when he tried to turn with it he was too slow and was either closed down or panicked and played a **** pass and gave it away. The only time he did what he should have been doing and open his body up for the pass to run forward with it, he got forward and put the cross in for Rooney's goal. But because he crossed it people forget just how **** he was.

Granted second half he played better, because he was collecting the ball and running at defenders, which is what he should be doing every game, but there is still far too many poor misplaced passes. And dont even get me started on the diving then getting sent off.
