The Manchester United Thread

I haven't seen him this season, and maybe just couple of times last one, but I did watch Argentina and Porto ( when he played there) and I never understood the hype around him. Maybe he's more mature now and improved his game. I've seen lot of positive reports about him. Me personally, still not convinced. But I wasn't convinced by Rojo as well and he turned out pretty decent to say at least.

Understandable mate he was very up and down at Porto that's for sure, but has really matured this last 2-3 seasons and is one of the reasons Valencia are sitting 3rd atm. Also scored on Friday in another top performance. Him and Rojo would be good partnership imo defo would not get bullied by STRs anyway :)

Super Deporte say that at the Elche match, which Otamendi scored in, there was an official sent by Manchester United. The man in question was Carlos Ruiz, who Super Deporte say has worked for the Premier League club for years. It's his job to compile final reports ahead of a further push to sign Otamendi and it could be the situation that Ruiz's words will determine whether Manchester United simply go ahead and pay the player's €50m buyout clause. That works out to be around £36m.

Not got the greatest feeling today I'll be honest, this team at the back doesn't fill me with much confidence especially if they are highly pressured and got at which you expect they will.

But I hope I am wrong and they have a good game, in the context of things this is a massive fixture.

************, what a pass. I jumped off my chair and I'm not even United fan.

United been superb so far but the lack of intensity is unbelievable from Liverpool. It's the reason Spurs got took apart last week
