The Manchester United Thread

UtdReport.com @UtdReport Follow Manchester United are interested in signing Lazio’s Felipe Anderson after sending chief scout Jim Lawlor to watch him on Sunday. [telegraph]

At this rate Bale would go back to spurs or anywhere in England, atleast he'd be liked.

So this Felipe Anderson lad seems to be a united style buy, know him from FM but can't say i've watched him in real life. Any thoughts?

Young was just as ****, so I don't know what are you talking about.

Young was ****? Seriously? Young can at least keep the ball, and actually runs at people with it when possible. Di Maria consistantly gives the ball away with his **** passes. Are you honestly saying Yound wouldnt have put that ball through to Rooney a lot earlier and actually passed it to him instead of doing what Di Maria did and completely ******* it up?

When Di Maria has the ball, if anybody comes within 10 yards of him he ***** himself and either cant hold off challenges to keep the ball or plays a "pass" to the nearest opposing player. Young can at least hold is own when needed (if he stays on his feet) and keep the ball.

We have been a lot better team with Young on the left, and a lot better since Di Maria, RVP and Falcao have had considerably less game time. We have found a balance in the team now and should stick with that 11 where possible for the remainder of the season (with probably the exeption of Rojo in for Jones).

Very good young player was lots of top clubs after him before he decided on Lazio for better development and more game time. Has been a goal/assist machine this season and is rapid. Can only liken him to Lucas Moura from PSG.

Martin Skrtel: FA to assess clash with Man Utd's David De Gea
The Football Association is to review an incident involving Liverpool's Martin Skrtel towards the end of their 2-1 defeat by Manchester United.

The Slovakian defender, 30, appeared to tread on United goalkeeper David De Gea during injury time at Anfield.

The FA says it is "looking at the incident", which prompted angry exchanges between the two players.

It is waiting to find out if referee Martin Atkinson saw what sparked the clash, which continued after full time.

Yeah not good but should not effect anything I would not of thought, or we would not be seriously interested in him. And the prices mentioned could be a bargain for such a talent. I watched him destroy Juve and Roma this season :)

So would i be wrong in saying it'll be him or depay and not both? Especially with Youngs resurgence and nani's future up in the air still but imo i think we'll let him go tbh in favour of new blood like this felipe lad.

Samuel @ecanalla Follow Ander: "Van Gaal is opposite to Bielsa because he believes in numerical superiorities in the wings, in triangles, in not running with ball."

Samuel @ecanalla Follow Ander: "Both Van Gaal and Bielsa are masters of the ball. Valverde too. He's the most balanced coach because he knew when and how to attack"

Ander: "There's only one Messi and one Ronaldo, where the club must adapt to them. The rest of players are earthly so I must adapt to Utd."

Ander: "It's difficult to be always compared with Ferguson's team. Our goal is the top 4. It's true we should have done better in the cups."

Ander: "I'm a classic man and I was delighted when we played vs Yeovil Town in front of 8,000 standing people yelling at me: "Who are you?"

Think it could be both as Nani could leave as well as Valencia also think Young will only stay for 1 more season but who knows. That leaves us pretty short in wide areas and we could get both for a good fee also. And Depay is versatile and can play anywhere along the front even up top. And Anderson can do the same and even play CM. Hope we go for both anyways. Plus who knows whats happening with Bale/Ronaldo.

He's something like Nani, with little more directness but without that 'extra flair' Nani has. Anderson is two footed and has decent shot in them. Extremely fast, maybe little faster than Nani. He uses his pace and really good balance to get past players, something like Robben does. I don't know how useful he would be in situations where he has run at the 10 players behind the ball. He's a good young player, but we do have Nani whos little more frustrating than him, but his end product is in most cases better.

Has been class this season and improved no end. If he can be Nani but consistant and faster which he is he will be some player.

I'll always have soft spot for Nani-esque type of players, players who still tries rabonas and nutmegs even if odds are against them. Players who will dribble past 2 players, see open guy on the other post, but decide to shot from 25 meters and score a wondergoal. Andeson doesn't have that flair. He's more simple and in some hand more industrious. Great thing for him is that he can use both his feet, unlike our Tony, so he won't be limited if someone only shows him inside but closes the right side. Our Tony would stop the ball. Try some feints with his right foot and then pass it back. If Nani is gone, then I wouldn't mind him and Depay. But I would like Nani to say.

Whoa, that actually explains so much about why Herrera was being benched for so long. In the early games it indeed was like this. He'd constantly go out of position to get the ball. I guess he spend so much time on the sidelines because that's how long it took to drill him into playing the LVG way.
