The Manchester United Thread

Shamoon Hafez @ShamoonHafez Follow LvG on Herrera: "He has developed himself now, I like that very much. He has scored 7 and this is not bad. I am very pleased." #MUFC

Manchester United @ManUtd Follow "We still have to fight for seven more games," Ander Herrera tells #MUTV. "But we are in form and we are ready for the derby."

Manchester United @ManUtd Follow Jones on Herrera: "The last few months he's been on fire. I remember playing him when he was at Bilbao - he gave me the runaround!" #mufc

Squawka Football @Squawka Follow Man Utd pass completion rates vs. Aston Villa: Ander Herrera (96%) Daley Blind (96%) Michael Carrick (94%) Juan Mata (94%) Excellent work.

Pilib de Brún @Malachians Follow Clearly Utd will sign a RB & a box to box center midfielder. When talking to Bryan Robson a few weeks ago he said they where the priorities.

Pilib de Brún @Malachians Follow I highly doubt Utd will touch Strootman, way too much risk involved. Van Gaal likes him but he also loves Pogba.

Scary part is, Herrera is even better than this. He's the guy who can dominate midfield by himself alone. We haven't seen that often this season, but he added goals to his game which is amazing and United was missing that, and still is missing.

Worth every penny! CLASS player and will only get better. And to think some on here thought LVG did not rate him and wanted him gone :O

Yep, he is worth it no doubt. He's not flashy like some other Spanish midfielders, but he gets things done. He has his moments when he takes too much risk, but since it Herrera - Carrick midfield and not Herrera - Di Maria, that should be fine. He's the guy who dominated Barcelona when they were on their peak, not many players can do that.
Question is, is there place for Di Maria in this United team?

I would have him over Young. But atm Young don't deserve to be dropped, but was poor today imo.
