No mate.have you guys seen balotelli's tweet when city scored?
Thing is, there really ain't a lot that type of midfielders who can become target men in instant, so we can't "replace him". He is vital to our squad, as we now have found the way to use him the best. But if we continue to build squad on 4-3-3 with 3 midfielders out there, we need 1 sign one box to box type at least more, to have the depth in case of injuries. Can't always rely on pulling Rooney as one of 3 there.Whats peoples thoughts on Fellaini. Should he be a starter next season on current form, or should we sign another midfielder to replace him and have Fellaini as a squad player?
Great performance great result great atmosphere! Im may be wet through but who caresNow for the drive back to Lincolnshire

Ruskington mate near SleafordWhere abouts mate? I'm in sunny Lincs too! I told you Jones and Smalling might start at the back, seems like LVG has changed his philosophy on a left footer at the back. I really hope both can stay fit, they are great together and have been since the U21 Euros a few years back when they played under Pearce. We just need them to stay fit for long enough to make a proper partnership last. Also, Young showed why he is preferred over Di Maria.
I just hope that we don't destroy the balance of the team with the wrong/too many signings. Valencia was brilliant again at full back and Fellaini, Young and Mata all deserve their place in the team.
Young said in interview that LVG took him to one side in pre season and said to him " You are one of the older players you should show it on the pitch and show more leadership as you are a good player". Or something along those lines.not been a bad few weeks was all doom and gloom b4 the spurs game love to know what lvg has been saying to young cos i have not seen a bigger come back from the dead since jesus
I never got the Mata is a pure number 10 rubbish, as anyone who has followed his career will know that he has played out wide more often even at Valencia. I honestly don't think this is a false dawn tbh, could be wrong but it was always going to click just like it did for him at other clubs. Just took longer for him here for various reasons, and these past performances have been nothing short of sensationalIt's only been a few matches, and it could still be a false dawn yet. But Juan Mata's recent form, where his best performances have been this season, has seen him deployed on the right wing.
He's only played there for four games, granted, however I still remember the criticism coming his way where some were determined that he could only play in central attacking midfield. That it was always going to be a toss-up between him and Rooney playing behind Van Persie.
Now, some four months later, Rooney is comfortably back where he wanted to be all along, supported by a revitalised Ashley Young and Mata who is now looking like he is truly enjoying his football at the club since he joined. Again, it's nothing to think too much of yet, but it's nice to watch Mata play so well, let alone diffuse all the concerns that he is simply an attacking midfielder.
What's more is that he is a decent finisher on his day too.

Herrera,Blind,Rojo all been good signings even Di Maria with all his assists and early season form. Been frustrating for Shaw but we have all seen he is a top FB in the Prem. Blind has been great at LB but could see he will struggle with balls over the top or players that have the run on him. Not sure who our signing of the season will be. Im going with HerreraMata can play on the right wing, sure, but not in the rigid way that Moyes wanted him to play. LVG has developed a system that overloads the left side of the pitch and allows Mata to drift infield as well, knowing that Valencia has the pace, stamina and strength to get up and down the right hand side all day. It requires the discipline of Carrick and Herrera, but also Herrera's work rate and desire to get the ball back. I think Herrera has been a revelation this season, and it's noticable that we have found a winning formula using the more intelligent footballers at our disposal (ie Rooney, Mata, Herrera, Carrick, Young, Blind)

Whats people thoughts on number of signings 2-3 first teamers or 2-3 first teamers with a couple of good prospects for depth of squad/rotation?
I would be happy with Hummels,Clyne,Depay,Gundogan,DybalaI can see Falcao, Van Persie, Cleverley, Rafael, Evans, Hernandez and possibly Valdes leaving, with Januzaj maybe out on loan.
We will be forced to sign a right back if Rafael leaves, or rely on McNair/Jones to cover.
We will sign a centre back.
We will sign a central midfielder as cover or replacement of Fellaini depending upon opposition.
We will need a top striker and possibly a young striker as cover.
We will probably retain Nani and sign a winger.
I'd like Stones, Vidal/Pogba, Sterling, Lewandowski
I expect Hummels, Strootman, Depay, Cavani maybe?
