Marca now blaming Navas

By Marca, we mean Madrid

Madrid are something else.

Sadly from your POV, if this doesn't get fixed, it could be well be the worst possible case for Utd.

No money for a player that will leave for nottin' at the end of the season. Said player potentially unhappy and a knock-on as to his attitude/ performances. Which in turn could have a knock-on effect in the dressing room and with the manager compounding things. And adequate replacement lost who may well not be available to you next summer.

Of course De Gea might be ****** at Madrid and take the opposite view to the above. But I wouldn't like to put my money on it.

Madrid have created a potential cluster**** for Utd here.

I'd be PRAYING it gets fixed.

Much as Id have loved him to stay I have been paralysed with fear of what you say happening since the transfer(s) fell through.

It is Madrid he's ****** at, that was already noted last night. And of course you would be, you do only seem to focus on the negatives irrespective when it comes to United. It either gets done or it doesn't and you cross that bridge when it comes to it.

That's the absolute worst case scenario if everything goes **** up.

Hard to understand why so much..
Seems like panic buy. And panic buying so young guy...
Considering that like Jackson Martinez went for £25m.

And just in that player like Julian Draxler went for €36m

According to some reports Martial was available for 25 - 30 mil euros at start of the summer when Spurs were interested so in a way this is similar to what happened with Fellaini deal though he had an RC which was missed.

Both were hardly first choice targets for Utd.

A question in general, is there anything that can be done now? I suppose a reverse bid of United for Navas, with De Gea and 29m thrown in, but will Real be able to register him for the league then?

I've looked at this all through as if it were a key player at my club and the very real potential pitfalls of the risk being taken all along.

You might get a fully committed player for the next 8 months. But there's been MANY instances where it's not worked out that way. (Aside from the fact there's no guarantee of top 4 football which off-sets the fee, however under his value. Yeah, he naturally increase that possibility. But there's no guarantee.)

As I've said all summer long when we've butted heads on this, I hope for your sake the gamble (as I see it) pays off.

But last season means nothing to this and it's been a gamble from the get-go whatever way you cut it. And Madrid have potentially now made it a whole bunch worse.

I guess I'm never playing poker with you because I'd be a whole lot more nervous right now how this could turn than your calmness where it my club/ player.

La Liga saying they didn't receive any papers at all for De Gea transfer, not late didn't receive at all.

Unless I'm mistaken, if the Spanish FA hold to the deadline, with no exemptions, Madrid couldn't sign anyone regardless.

In effect, window deadlines are for the club within whatever Country the window is in. They can no longer sign anyone after the deadline has passed. Only Navas would remain alive as you can still sell to another Country who's window is still open.

This is correct, your window has to be open to register players regardless of the money or type of deal.

Indeed there are lot of degrees within that and ultimately it comes down to the individual player and not the "many" instances that haven't been mentioned. If he doesn't go, I would start looking at Leno for post euros

That would be absolutely unfair towards the other 19 teams in La Liga and I'm sure LFP would never make such exception - even if the team is RM in question.

It's like having 5 kids and allowing only one to eat ice cream before lunch.

What if the 4 other kids are fat?

If that 5th kid (guess a slim one) wants exception, he shall ask for that flaming ice cream before the lunch. Not during the goulash soup. Before it.

Fat kids, no like. Was a chubby one myself too.

New developments now from Madrid as the plot surrounding David de Gea’s transfer to Real Madrid takes another twist. Sky Sports News HQ’s Gary Cotterill has the latest…

“On the basis that La Liga didn’t receive any paperwork from Real Madrid regarding David de Gea, there is an avenue of appeal that both clubs could pursue direct to FIFA. It would seem all parties want the deal to go through but, as there was no paperwork, La Liga would be unlikely to back Real Madrid in that appeal and therefore any appeal would be certain to fail."

As hilarious as this is, there's no way either of you come out of this looking like anything but morons. Either you did it intentionally, which is beyond petty, or it was the kind of technical cockup that would embarass a small tech start up, yet alone 2 clubs with practically infinite resources.

Reporting that Madrid didn't sent the paperwork. They have messed around too much and should've had this deal done weeks ago. I hope de gea turns his back on Madrid a signs a new contract with United.

All Madrid's fault by the sounds of it, even according to the Spanish media now.

So in my opinion we have no blame in this whatsoever, our documents were in on time.

This is ultimately Madrid's fault anyway, they took all summer to make the bid they said they wouldn't do all along.
