Indeed, they do this asa deliberate ploy to look good. UNited's mistake was to re enter on the last day, should have said it was too late.

United will restore De Gea if he doesnt leave

Madrid fans didn't even want him, poll on Marca has over 80% for Navas to stay.

Interestingly enough there is a quote from De Gea saying that he'd never play for Real Madrid and not in a polite way either, from a fair old while ago. So that just backs up how much this move was very much for his girlfriend.

Tbh I still wouldn't put it past Madrid to get this across the line.
 
Like you all said, all Madrid's fault it seems. Which kinda sucks cause it was looking like a good deal for us. Hopefully DDG does see that Man Utd weren't the ones to blame and decides to say **** it and get a new contract, even if it's just to make it so he doesn't go for free next season.

Can we take legal action? We sent the papers and what not, but they ******/didn't bother to send them. Surely that's against some law?

I'm not so sure, as Chelski Shogun pointed out, our deal with coentrao got killed because of them being late

Difference is I doubt Madrid care about that one as much as they do about this, to save face as they are coming out like the mugs they are and we all know.

Really? Wow, I thought it was just random Spanish media reporting it, didn't expect they actually admitted it.

What a day to be alive, Real Madrid coming out of this like mugs and not even getting the player.

Not really no, well not in that context, unless I 100% mean it. He probably did mean it anyway, very odd how someone from Atletico would ever go to Real. It has happened but is exceptionally rare. Not even that, the fact the fans don't even want him at Madrid is really telling.

This is just a decision influenced by Edurne and to be fair, this I can admit, I'd probably walk on a lake of lava if she asked me to.

God knows what we're going to do with De Gea.

But I'm more intrigued what Madrid are going to do with Keylor Navas.

Telling him to pack his bags and leave because we're replacing you pretty much and now...... what can they say???

He must feel like garbage. Makes you wonder if he would even want to stay after being treated so poorly.

Whens the ruling due? As long as they appeal past 1st Jan, they'll do what Barcelona did and delay it. They got Suarez in during the pending ruling, (if i remember right?).
 
Apparently the deal will get done but neither will play for their new clubs until January. I don't know what to think anymore.

Leaving Madrid with a great backup and United with Romero? Seems unlikely. Unless they're going to keep playing for their respective clubs until Jan, which makes even less sense because then they'll both be cuptied for the CL.
