The Manchester United Thread

Are you genuinely happy with this window? Not saying we haven't made some good signings.

But to replace Di Maria, Januzaj, Chicharito, Nani, RVP, Falcao with.... Martial and Depay is just... very silly. Going to be costly mistake in terms of squad management by the end of the season as well. The depth just isn't there or relying on players from other positions to cover. Like Martial playing RW at times as well as striker maybe.

Martial plays RW, it's where he tore apart Arsenal

I may be the negative of the tribe but you are literally Mr.Positive.

No I just don't panic. We still have flaws, but our biggest issue isnt really to with transfers. 80% of our issues can be solved, and need to be solved, on the training ground. Doesnt matter who you buy too much short of the Big 3, if that isnt dealt with

I have no idea about this Martial chap

I was very skeptical at first, but now when people like Cantona and Neville brothers openly endorsed the transfer, I'm a lot confident about the whole thing. Phil Neville just went on the record that Martial absolutely tore apart very solid Valencia side where he's currently coaching.

I've said repeatedly we've made good signings this window but in my opinion we've just left ourselves short in attacking positions and made some needless departures.

Why would you let Januzaj go to Dortmund when he's going to get just as many opportunities here? Not only that he'll struggle to get into that team. If he can't get into this attack now of ours he's never going to make it.

Interesting, but a lot of pressure on his shoulders, honestly we've had many youngsters built up before only to fail.

Hope they ask on SSN now Thierry Henry's opinion on Martial, that is an assessment I really want to know.

You replaced: "didn't want to be there"; "admittedly talented youngster but one the club might feel needs to play regularly"; "doesn't fit the system"; "inconsistent"; "over the hill"; "why god why"; with: "serious potential" and "already great but can get much better". You basically cut all the deadwood out of your squad and replaced it with some amazing young talent.

This x100

I have no idea why you are even moaning zzeezy, you got rid of players who didn't want to be there and replaced it with superb talented youngsters. I would put United squad on par with Chelsea atm with City slightly ahead and Arsenal slightly behind

The only one who needed real replacing was Di Maria. There is an issue with depth, but I think he's going to start throwing the likes of AP in if needed. Clearly this Rojo story is nonsense so far.

I was not saying they were all bad departures by any means, but when you're lacking depth you don't get rid of more players unless you have a plan to replace them.

The ones I question the most were Di Maria, Januzaj and Nani. Mainly because the only alternatives we've brought in is Martial. All them I've mentioned well (Januzaj and Nani) at least would of useful to have to cover the RW.

Last year we struggled with a bigger squad because of the amount of injuries and just a few now we'll be in trouble.

He just said it. Massive gamble, but one which one needs to take in current market.

As an Fm "addict" this really excites me.

But so did Pato back in the day

Last year we had a record amount of injuries that would have crippled any squad.
