The Manchester United Thread

He just said it. Massive gamble, but one which one needs to take in current market.

Just caught the back end when he was just flabbergasted by the fee saying he honestly couldn't judge him as he's only played 50 some games and not to expect much this season down to that complete inexperience and step up.

Still short imo, just hope they can stay fit. Especially smalling and any of our attackers.

Do you think Martial will be an important part of the first-team straight away?

Not against Liverpool no, but he'll ease in soon enough. First month is about the person, not the player.

Winner off the bench, 60 yard sprint, dribbling past their whole team and then chipping the keeper.

This x100

I have no idea why you are even moaning zzeezy, you got rid of players who didn't want to be there and replaced it with superb talented youngsters. I would put United squad on par with Chelsea atm with City slightly ahead and Arsenal slightly behind

I just dont see it.. United are the weakest of the top four for me, followed by Arsenal, then Chelsea and City quite a bit in front of them following their transfer dealings

Would be hilarious if he came on and score the winner vs Liverpool. The hype train would go into full flow.

I prefer our midfield and defence to Arsenal. But attackers like Ox and Sanchez I'd always want at United.

Very debatable between arsenal and united. They signed cech, we've kept de gea (if he plays is another story) they have signed no one else while we added bastian and morgan to carrick, herrera and fellaini as midfielders, they have Giroud we have Roondog.

Argument can be made on both sides tbf.

I would say the gap between the top 4 clubs is very thin atm. Which club has the best squad is up for debate but there is no obvious front-runner. Which is what frustrates me because Chelsea could very easily have been that front-runner if they did the window properly instead of letting everyone catch up bit by bit

I would agree with both of you on that... That Arsenal attack just gives them a slight edge for me, but both teams are quite close

Getting De Gea to play and be in the right frame of mind could be huge aswell

Yeah, the transfer window has certainly made this season quite interesting.. I just hope City dont run away with it else it could be fantastic

The only reason Chelsea ran away with it last season was because of the way we started while everyone else was dropping points. City had a great squad and they did catch up before disintegrating. I sure hope we don't see a repeat of that with City leading the pack this season

City will have a blip because well pellegrini but they still might be too strong especially if silva and aguero stay fit.

So Martial will wear #9, his number at Monaco this season.

There isnt that much between the top 4. What matters is how the sides are utilised. Chelsea are doing the worst, and City comfortably the best. Lets see what happens when they come back from break and Europe proper starts

I spent all that time and we signed a 26yr old squad player and someone who immediately went out on loan again, yet for some reason I'm not even salty. This entire window has just been the biggest clusterfuck, with pretty much everyone ballsing things up.

It's done. Finally. Gawd, how many times did I see the word 'gamble' today...:D
