The Manchester United Thread

Naismith League goals 2015-6 = 3
Messi League goals 2015-6 = 1
Therefore Naismith>Messi

See how stupid the argument is becoming. Lets just ignore the fact that Ivanovic has won premier leagues, champions leagues, fa cups and league cups for the best part of 7 years, while being an integral part of a defence that's set some of the best defensive records in premier league history because Darmian has had 2 decent seasons at a lower level and 5 good games at United.

You made it stupid and pretty sure you turned it into a pointless debate.

A lower level? you make out like he's been playing in Qatar.

This is embarrassing now Damola. Chelsea fans will even tell you that Ivanovic hasnt been good for a year now.

Why you insist on trying to get round this is bizarre. You got it wrong, let it go.

I'm not comparing one off games. In this season 5/5 games they are brilliant.

Rooney has won more than double than Aguero, that doesn't make him better than Aguero.

By that logic, your Arsenal team won **** all, so they are not better than Bojan, Shaqiri?

I'm talking about 5 games and how brilliantly they have played with hardly a mistake.

Darmian had 2 seasons at lower league? lol, what an ignorant statement which I'm not surprised.

Constantly going to Ivanovic as his argument is weird.

Somehow Damola has managed to **** on our celebrations of beating the scousers and distracting us with this silly debate.

Props to the gooner, it has to be said.

Not sure you got the memo, we are **** but lesser **** than Liverpool.

Signing 29 year old Milner was a masterstroke
Signing 30 year old Schweinsteiger was risky.

Hopefully we follow this win up with a win vs PSV and in the next league game cos well that would be **** if we didn't.

United have the best Full backs in the league. There isn't a better LB than Shaw this season and Darmian is as old style Italian defender who closes down everything.

Serie A has been dire for the past 3-4 years. Deep financial issues and a talent drain mean that there definitely is a big gap in overall league strength at the moment. They can barely fill their stadiums and the pitches are dire. There's a big difference in playing for Torino in Serie A than in the Premier league with United.

Bojan and Shaqiri weren't integral players in their side's success. Ivanovic was. Aguero has outscored Rooney in the same league since joining, facilitating direct comparison. Ivanovic is at his peak, while Rooney is not close.

You are wrong about everything and it's not even worth replying to.

You are correct on financial issues though.

Both players are looking like masterstrokes at the moment. I was sceptical of Schweinstiger because of his injury record, however he's started with all guns blazing so far.

PSV have lost two key components in Depay and Wijnaldum this summer and i'm not sure they could compete with those two. I can't see Unitd failing to beat PSV and Southampton.

Didn't i tell you to shhh about milner. He is a centre mid maestro.

Also there is a big change in Depay playing and Young playing. I made this comment few days back, Depay rarely uses Shaw overlapping runs which is something Young uses it so well.

Juve have won 4 scudettos in a row. How many world class players are there outside Juve? Garcia's Roma are decent, however their recruits are good players who failed to make it big in other leagues because they financially can't compete with other European teams. Italian clubs couldn't reject 35 million for John Stones, leading to a talent drain. An established mid table team with European trophies went bankrupt this year.

Bayern won last 3 league titles that doesn't mean Bundesliga is **** or inferior league.

La Liga teams can't reject 35 Million that doesn't mean there is a talent drain.

You haven't watched any leagues apart from PL, so ideally I shouldn't bother to engage with you, but sometimes I'm bored and keep on replying to everything.

Just because English teams have money doesn't mean they have lot of talent. Still they are buying talents from other leagues.

Also going by your logic, you are saying Southampton player as the best in the league who finished 7th or 8th last season. You have weird way of judging players. If they are English, Arsenal players or even PL players they are all better for you and I can't help for your ignorance.

All the best PL players are foreign players

You have basically just assumed that I don't watch any league other than the premier league. Most other leagues are experiences talent drains. Players like Cabaye and Shaqiri are champions league quality players.

Champions league quality players signing for mid table clubs does show that the premier league has epitomised the huge pool of talent in the premier league. The ending of your post makes no sense whatsoever. All of the best prem players have been foreign for the best part of a decade. No need to state the obvious.

Your posts about Darmian is just nonsense then, you are judging him just because he was from Serie A when all the best players in PL are from other leagues.

Matic was the best DM last season and he was from Portuguese league.

Meh. I'm done with this. Good night.

Jesus christ, we beat 'Pool and all I see is a few posts about the actual game and pages of absolute ***** and pointless conversation about one comment which clearly said that we have the best FB THIS SEASON! Why the **** Ivanovic (bad form for the better part of a year) and lower level leagues come into this (I mean seriously, by some people's logic in this thread if you are form an "inferior" league, you are automatically worse...wtf...).

Pointless trolls...god how I hate them. Get a grip.

Wasn't going to comment, win or lose, in this thread yesterday after the game as there's no more emotive game/ rivalry going.

Just just a line to say congratulations. We deserved what we got. Absolutely nothing. No complaints on the result at all.

Enjoy your happy Sunday off the back of it. I wish I had that feeling right now.
