The Manchester United Thread

Signings of that price is always going to make headlines, can't really blame them as it sells papers but some of the ones who wrote him off before he even played as a wasted buy were total clowns. Daily Mirror *cough cough*

I completely agree. Criticising United for the deal was fair enough IMO but as you've said criticising Martial before he's even kicked a ball for United was pathetic.

If I was United fan, I would have concerns about De Gea's mentality after failing to secure move to his favored club. :D

What a game, Martial is a gem, his touch, dribbling, composure is ******* unreal. Depay also did well, should have been on the score sheet.

Schweinsteiger is really Football god.

Rojo started very poorly then somewhat improved, defense was all over the place in this game which is worrying after how they started the season.

De Gea is the best GK in the world. a

DDG gradually starting to edge out Neur as best GK? Thoughts? Can't say personally, as I don't watch Bayern other than in the Champions League.

De Gea is arguably the second best keeper atm. Neuer still edges it though as his all round game is sensational.

Rooney looks well, well off the pace. I don't remember him being this bad for this long, ever. Worrying.

Yeah not sure what to do to get the best from Rooney. Just looks very, very ordinary. Would happily drop him for a bit if Mata could slot in behind Martial. Young deserves a few more starts.

But yeah, the Martial circlejerk is on.

I honestly don't see Rooney improving his form this season. He was poor against England, he was also poor in the Champions League par the Club Brugge game (Where he was spoon fed goals anyway) and he has also been poor in the Premier League. At this point I honestly think Rooney is nothing more than a squad player at best.

Martial looks really well in an all round sense, Wins headers in the air, doesn't try too much when his backs to goal he finds the pass & has great composure in front of goal! Rooney has been very poor was LVG having a go at him when there was an injury ?

Really hoping wilson starts against ipswich and puts in a proper performance and then really kicks on, sooner he does the better.
