I am not watching but the Long option can help the possession game as it can push the defensive line back, especially with Martials pace. You can't just go short all the time sometimes you have to go long to go short.
 
better football, just no killer instinct or final ball. Also, Fellaini is a liability in this position he cant defend and leaves huge gaps in our defence, which is why we are 1-0 down.

Yeah, he should be either as #10 or in pivot with Bastian or Schneiderlin. With Carrick its not the best pairing as neither can really defend.

Don't get me wrong, winning the league would be nice, but I don't want to join the countless moronic fans that want LVG out after 1 and a half seasons. I understand it takes time to build a squad and can see what he wants to happen. Just isn't working at the moment.

This is something else, honestly. How are we losing to arguably one of the worst teams in the league, at home. This is absolute *****. No character in the squad anymore, missing schweini a lot tbh. Fellaini is just **** at playing CM too far forward, no pace to get back. Mata has been awful at 10 has defended well enough, lost the ball a lot and hasn't created anything. Rooney looked alright first half and then has proceeded to regress. Honestly, I think whilst the manager needs time his shortcomings in the market are very evident. PLAY HERRERA, FROM THE START. I mean he always puts in a shift and creates a lot. Energy and creativity, exactly what you need in this system instead we have mata who is static and wasteful (recently).
