LVG has fantastic relationship with owners apparently, according to Sky Sports article, I'm starting to think we're just a company now not even a football club, so regardless of how **** we are in a football sense, we'll stick with him. Sad times.

I don't know what any 'well run' football club would have happy owners when they see the brand of football this club has been based on totally destroyed.

We've been a compnay for e very long time tbf. Don't worry Adidas hate the football too, so that will probabaly enough.

The pace of play is what's puzzling me as well. LVGs Ajax was nothing like that.

With only 4 days left of this transfer window, does anyone of you see United signing someone? Or Simeone? :P

Whilst I admire Simeone for the job he has done at Atletico, I'm sure a stat I saw said that they have only scored something like 12-15 goals at home this season.

It would be a bad appointment for us I think to look at him, we really need someone like Pep, if we're not getting him I don't know where we turn. Logic tells you Pochettino and IMO would be a good move.

12 goals in 10 league games.
2014-15: 42 goals in 19 games
2013-14: 49 goals
2012-13: 42 goals.

Only Barca and Madrid scored more goals at home than Atletico Madrid in last 3-4 seasons.

Poch's spurs scored just 31 goals at home last season, even worse than Van Gaal's United.

Only Villa scored fewer goals than United at home. That's a ridiculous stat. 12 goals in 11 league games is atrocious record. How he is still in charge of this club is beyond me.

I like Woodward and always defended him, if there is one complaint I have, it's on this. So much late reaction to sack manager.

Honestly if he doesn't get fired in January, he'll need to stay until top 4 is mathematically impossible. However bad things are, LVG is a top manager, he knows the squad in an out, and there's always a chance he will turn it around.

Too much of a risk to gamble with a new guy who'll have to learn everything on the go with only few months to work.

You'd rather we get in Jose, who basically had a meltdown, lead his club on the brink of having to fight relegation and probably would bring his defensive tactics and ****** way of dealing with the press to Man Utd.

Or Have Giggs take over. Someone who doesn't know anything about managing a full team par 4 games in charge at the end of the Moyes Season?

But you don't want to stick with a proven manager, who is playing boring football, but still has us in 5th place in the premier league despite the injuries we've had and the lack of form certain players have?

Also why are you blaming Woodward? It's not like Man Utd depend on him for everything. They do have a board of people you know that probably make the decisions?

IF Utd next turned to Mourinho, I think we could then safely put to bed the 'Utd Way- Attacking football/ Promote Youth' mantra.

But back to the present, sign of the times just how far your status has currently fallen when the lower league opposition manager doesn't see his team winning tonight as a giant killing.

Yeah, like I've said, they have time till next Monday more or less. If he's not fired after Stoke game, he needs to stay.

Be interesting to see if they panic and go make a big last day window splash to try guarantee 4th.

Any predictions for tonight?

I'm going for an upset!

United 2-0, Martial and Mata with the goals ;)

Sports witness and few reports in Italy saying were willing to let Varela go and his people are speaking with Genoa about a possible loan deal with the option of it becoming permanent, says he and his people are pushing for the move as he does not feel rated by coaches at the club. On tonights game hope to see a few youngsters tonight and no Fellaini! Would go with -

DDG
Varela-Smalling-McNair-CBL
Herrera-Schniederlin
Januzaj-Pereria-Memphis
Martial

TBH would not even play Smalling cant risk him getting injured as well put him in for experience at the back an hes a best CB. Would love to see TFM get some mins.

Oh yeah if reports are true and Varela does go that is madness as we have no fit FBs as it is and the squad is already wafer thin!

Jose doesn't fit the United ethos no question but he usually guarantees short-term success and lets not forget he has a point to prove now as well, which puts a whole new complexion on it for me. I am still not someone who really wants Mourinho but I'd take him over LVG in a heartbeat, because we're going absolutely no where with him and this style of football. In reality unless we're getting Pep we won't find a more proven manager than Mourinho.

Also I'd take Giggs over LVG now as well, bring me back any sense of excitement and some hope of attacking football back to this club. The whole footballing style of United and what we have been based on, fast/entertaining/attacking football has long been gone. He can't do any worse than LVG.

Personally I think the injuries are a big excuse, mainly because in the summer we knew we had a thin squad, it was his decision for it to be like that, he prefers smaller squads because it makes everyone feel more valued or something along them lines. His philosophy.

Also if it was one or two players out form you may have a point, but it isn't, it is literally most of the team and when that is the case, there is only one person who can have the blame, which is LVG. The football has been dreadful, absolutely dire, lets not understate it.

Regarding Woodward, he deserves a BIG portion of the blame, especially now, because LVG should of been sacked like a month or more ago. That's just the truth, any point lost from end of December to now in the league is down to him and the board. I wouldn't mind much about who took over if it was interim till end of season, because I don't see how it could be any worse than now. Also regarding Woodward and his board (remember it is totally different one to the one with Fergie/Charlton/Gill who don't have any say in key decisions) they left it too late when sacking Moyes before and we therefore had no chance of salvaging the season with top 4. Very similar situation happening again now, I don't see how he doesn't deserve a large portion of blame? Baffles me how there are still fans like you who try to defend him.

What another stupid decision that would be if we let Varela go now, even if people don't rate him (personally I feel he has been good when I've seen him this season), we have no ****** fullbacks so why get rid of one at this time?
