LVG - I think the fans enjoyed that match. Is he on drugs?

Massive rumours on talk sport today about Laurent Blanc being our next manager. Ex red, probably bored at PSG playing pub teams every week. Wouldnt be a bad shout. Could possibly be in it for the long haul with us. Looking at the long term, I think I'd rather have Blanc than mourinho. But as it stands ID rather have Ronald McDonald than LVG so that doesn't say much

I made a case for Blanc a couple of months back he has proven himself not only in the French League with several clubs but also Internationally, he knows how Utd want to play plus he can get a squad to play even if they aren't happy with each other.

I still think it will be Mourinho, but I really like Blanc too.

One thing we wont be under those two, is lacking in energy.

Blanc would be very interesting option. I didn't like his style in his first year at PSG (going by CL games), against Chelsea he chickened out and played with lot of fear and rightly knocked out but he learned very quickly. Last 2 years their performances in CL are very good and also his work at Bordeaux shouldn't be ignored. Won everything he could at domestic level.

I liked the way he set up PSG in CL games (haven't watched any League games), they are excellent tactically and players have a good idea what they are doing.

Wouldn't mind either, Jose or Blanc. One is a winner and will make us challenge for league in no time and other one is also very good manager and him being ex player is added advantage (not on playing field, just to connect with fans better).

He was speaking about the West Ham fans and Rival fans not the Utd fans.

He wasnt lol. Did you watch it? He was talking about how happy he was with the team and the performance considering we only had a couple of days to prepare and West Ham had a full week. He said he was happy with the teams and that he thinks the fans also enjoyed the match. Nothing to do with West Ham or rival fans

Think wolly was being sarcastic.

He may have been happy with the team but some how I think the true Utd fans didn't enjoy the game, a few seasons ago it wouldn't matter if the team had played a tough game mid week, as they would still manage to entertain the fans CREATIVELY a couple of days later. Utd have always entertained even in the 1970's when the team was still coming to terms with the loss of Sir Matt over the last 3 seasons the play has become increasingly more negative. The current Utd squad has the potential to be creative but are unable to do so due to negative tactics and a lack of confidence. Rival fans meanwhile are just happy to see Utd struggle whilst West Ham fans will be more than happy at their performance today (but disappointed not to have won the game which their performance deserved).

Scholes criticism of de gea is really harsh. Benders are a goalkeepers worst nightmare judging from my past experience with being a goalkeeper

One second you think the ball is coming at you the one second later, it's going away. Payet's actually dipped from midair as well. Harsh criticism from Scholes...just harsh.

Yup. Vicious bend mid-air, absolutely no chance to save it. Scholes seems to be yet another ex-United vet who decided to make a living by taking **** on the TV.

If he blamed De Gea for the free kick going pst him yesterday that's ridiculous but in the main Scholes has been bang on about Utd and Van Gaal.

He makes some good points and then blows away everything with few **** points. Also he contradicts a lot, good example is his view on Rooney.

Also he gets lot of **** for saying what many fans feel imo. We are **** and he says it on TV.

All Scholes was saying is he shouldnt be beaten from that range from that type of free kick. He said he could understand it if it was smashed towards goal at speed but this was curled into the top corner. He had more than enough time to see the flight of the ball and was still beaten.

It would have helped massively though if Smalling would have jumped in that wall. The ball flew directly over his head.

And a statement released by then Bayern president Uli Hoeness after Van Gaal’s sacking is scarily similar to the situation he finds himself in at Old Trafford.
‘Football should be enjoyable, but there has been nothing enjoyable about football at FC Bayern for a while now,’ he said.

‘And to say that he had the players behind him was a myth.
‘Problems were created which were totally unnecessary and which have ripped the club to pieces.
‘Louis van Gaal should consider what he has done.’

--------------------------

If only our board was invested in the football and cared as much as Bayern's about the football being exciting and what the fans are going through watching this misery, we wouldn't be in this situation.

Smalling didn't jump perhaps due to the increasing regularity of low fks.

You dont have to be a genius to know Payet of all people isnt going to take a low freekick from that distance. And even if it is low, DDG should be saving it from from that distance anyway so it was stupid not to jump.

"DDG should be saving it from that distance"

Why does the distance matter? It was a brilliant freekick. Curling away from DDG, into the post and into the goal.

I'd love to see you try save that..
