The Manchester United Thread

When I said we should have signed Mane this season, people said he is awful and replied with 'lol'.

Would have been great instead of Lingard.

I remember zzeezzy having a moan. But that's standard

Would not complain if we signed Mane tbh. **** of a lot better than anything we have arm on the wings. Maybe some fans don't like him because he ain't Reus, Griezmann etc type name. May not be world class but defo good enough for a top Prem team.

We'd be paying close to £40m for Mane, I mean yeh he may fit in well but it is over-paying to the extreme. Plus he has one great game then goes invisible for another three or four.

I think Leicester have proved that you don't need "world class" names or spending 10's of millions on a player. Identify a position you need a player for and the job you want that player to do. Scout them and sign one. Look at mahrez, kante, vardy. Even Simpson and Drinkwater that we had. A lot of lessons can be learned from Leicester this season.

Even mane. We r crying out for him now. Southampton scouted him, knew what he could do and what they wanted him to do, and they signed him. Nothing more nothing less.

Some of our best signings over the years have been players that are relatively unknown or completely off the radar of who we was linked with. Vidic and evra being 2 recent examples. It's about time we got back to scouting properly and not throwing money at names. Dont get me wrong, I'd love James and kroos but there must be somebody out there that can do the job of kroos just as good week in week out stats wise.

Kroos is kind of **** tbh. Not mobile enough to play as #10. not good enough at defending to play as lone holding mid, not good enough passing range to play as DLP. Everytime I watch him he's completely invisible and a defensive liability. Bayern knew what they were doing letting him go.

What? He switches play quite similar to rooney...he's 2 footed...offers long distant shots...superb technique

Biggest example i can think of recently is a few weeks ago when the french team of the year was done. The right back that was included ive never even heard of. So thats done off stats and he was the best player in that positon. But the so called big clubs will be looking at the so called big names like carvajal or whoever.

The "smaller" clubs will be looking at that guy from france. Will probably nuy him for next to nothing, then in a years time the "big clubs" will want to buy him for £20m. Its stupid

Also have no idea what's going on with Depay, unfollowing all his team-mates on social media. Trivial, but still.

A bit of a joke yeah, but whoever discovered this probably has way too much time on his hands...tbh, nobody would give a **** about such silly things, if Memphis were banging goals.

Yeah, but I disagree with your statement about this range of passing. He has a good vision plus he shoots like a cannon.
Anyway, we have a much better pick in Schneiderlin who's a rock solid DM but who's apparently warming the bench. :'(

A.Bola and Ojo reporting that we have been scouting Joa Mario most the season and will start talks in the Summer. Price believed to be 30m euros. If true that would be a bargain for a player of his quality. Has been excellent this season and last!

Never realised Van Gaal has changed over the past week from 'Ask Utd/ Woodward' as regards his future to a definitive 'I'll be here next season.'

Either he's being very bullish on things or there may be a major twist in this yet.

14 goals in 42 games, with 6 assists, creating a chance a game in an upper midtable Saints side.

Pretting good for a winger.

You don't want James
You're not happy about Mane.

Find me a winger we can buy on that side, that you wont complain about.

He's being very bullish, because hes not surviving no champions league.
