The Manchester United Thread

I thought that when I saw it wasn't gig's in charge the last 3 or something like that?

was it 34

Yeah, Giggs was in charge 4 games. Moyes was fired with 57 points, Giggs made 7 in his 4 games.

And that's with the team that finished previous season with 89.

LVG may be doing ****** job, but Moyes was whole new level of bad.

Pretty obvious that this is just Mourinho's agent working behind the scenes to put pressure on Van Gaal's seat.

Between this and the Ibra leaks, I'm starting to have doubts whether there was any contact with Mourinho at all. Otherwise Mendes wouldn't have to be pulling **** like this.
Don't think it's anything to do with Mendes. Him and Mou have been very quite as have the club. Think the silence says it all about Mou coming. And the Ibra links came from a few usually reliable sources, and after the interview were he himself said I know where I will be playing next season but can not say atm. Will see if corse but I don't think there's any need for Mendes to say anything as its already done. Not so sure on Ibra though, but I could see him here.

If it's already done, why the leaks about De Gea wanting to leave if LVG stays? That doesn't add up. If Mourinho is already under contract, you have no reason to leak De Gea story.

Meaning nothing is done, and it's Mendes working behind the scenes to make it happen. It's not exactly rocket science.

Who said we've leaked anything. Could be BS like most things. Ballague is denying any truth in the AS rumour.

Or maybe Journalists just reporting random nonsense as they always do. Ducker was caught 2 or 3 years back when someone started some rumors about Qatar starting some super rich league, Ducker printed he has sources who said the same and printed the story. Times later apologized for printing the story.

So it's not exactly rocket science to assume Journalists need something to fill column inches and sometimes they just report what's very obvious.

I am just shocked at United how the brand or attraction doesn't seem to matter anymore, I mean United was known for the entertaining and attacking, exciting football, if we went 1-0 up we wouldn't defend with men behind the ball, we would look for the second.

I agree with Peter Schmeichel that a lot of the identity that was built by Fergie has been lost in a very short space of time. Man United have bored me to death this season, says Peter Schmeichel | Football News | Sky Sports

I mean when you play FM (I know this is not a game) the philosophies of the club you have to abide by when you take role of manager is attacking and exciting football. LVG hasn't delivered that, so I just do not see on any ground how he can stay for another year, he has failed in both delivery and result.

Say if LVG even does stay for his final season, spunks another load in summer, start off badly in season.... what the **** happens then knowing you have no one else to turn to? Another season of accepted mediocrity by the board I guess.

Easy to forget how **** we were with Moyes. Embarrassed by every big team home and away except Arsenal.

Andreas Pereira

On his two starts this season, the Brazilian has scored. He has not featured in a matchday squad since February, ostensibly on account of his immaturity, yet Jesse Lingard - an inferior talent - showcased his juvenile streak on Snapchat and has, effectively, been a first-teamer since January.
Pereira, who has looked rejuvenated since he signed a new contract last year and was bright in pre-season, has scored eight goals and created another seven in the Under-21s this season. He has been treated unfairly in a season United's forwards have been blunted.

Just one of many players that has been mismanaged by LVG.

Yeah, young players in general were never given any chance from Van Gaal this season.

Just cos he thrown kids in isn't necessarily an indictment of how he has managed them well. Sure he has managed certain players well enough, but there are plenty where you can just as equally say, what the **** is he trying to achieve, Peireira should of had way more of a look in this season and is easily better than Lingard.
