Hard to feel sympathy for any manager today as regards the media. They get vary highly conoensated for the job they do and the media and all their demands/ bollocks is part and parcel of that.

This thing is going into a mess. Nothing else reported than sacked and Mou in. Media is crazy about it. Give the guy a break. Yeah he made a mess in the club, but still won u the FA cup. Feel bad for LVG about the the mess that surrounds him right now.

This is the biggest news of the day and also of the season for the biggest English club. Of course every paper will report it as much as possible. No news will generate more clicks for them than this.

It's 6 months late though, should have gone in december. It was the worst kept secret in the football, Van Gaal getting sacked.

54 managers sacked this season aswell. It's just embarassing it really is. When coming 4th is far important than winning a big domestic trophy such as the FA Cup it just makes me sad. Along with the treatment of managers wether they are liked by fans or not. Respect in this game is long since dead. But hey-as long as the fans are happy right?

This post is very wrong. Van Gaal is sacked not for just finishing outside top 4 but also for the pathetic performance whole year.

Managers are disposable asset in the club as much as other staff and players. When managers think player is not good enough they are sold, so why not managers? When they are not good enough they are sacked and get their dues.

Van Gaal was treated with lot of respect at the club, way too much than most like. Otherwise he would have been sacked in december.

BTW your last point is correct. As long as fans are happy. Exactly.

Just checked my profile, oddly its my 7 year FM Base sign up anniversary in 2 days time.

Was using the site for a good while before signing up though.

Anyway, next season is going to be very interesting with all the managers. Can't wait for the transfer window!

Easily, this mistrust in youngsters is overplayed, and Rashford has cemented himself as the leading forward, in fact he actually needs support.
