The Manchester United Thread

To get a player of his quality for that price is a great deal IMHO no matter how you cut it. Last year of his contract or not. You might well of not been so lucky come this time next year.

If he settles to the PL, he'd be a fantastic addition for anyone.
Exactly! Great signing.

Very talented undoubtable, would like him back and we can't afford to miss out you are right. But I just get the impression he could be better with a change of attitude or maybe something else that is lacking, I'm not sure, hard to decipher.

I've been watching him very closely at this Euros, he has often done moments of brilliance followed by something sloppy like losing the ball needlessly. I think this is why he hasn't stood out so far in this tournament, the great things he does gets lost in the inconsistency of the errors he makes amongst them.
Coaching. He needs fine tuning in his game. We shouldn't be afraid of taking a player with flaws an making them better, we were built on it, and we've forgotten that in the last couple of years. Pogba now would be as good as any mid in the league, and he's not even near his peak

Yes, this is the reason why I'd have him, he can quite clearly go up a few more gears yet in this tournament and as a player in general I suppose you could say.

.....
He's the best young talent in the game, he's genuinely World Class, and can STILL get better. A player like him comes around rarely in a generation. We ****** it up once, we must not do it again. Marketing alone will cut his fee in half minimum.

That's the key issue for Woodward in particular now it seem's you're going all in for Pogba. He can't afford NOT to close this one.

Be very interesting to see how Pogba stands. He didn't want to leave United by all reports. He just wanted to play and was pretty narked at Ferguson and the club by all accounts. He's getting paid regardless of where he ends up. Be interesting to see how he now feels about the club.

You can't decide where a player goes, but you can give them every reason to join you. We've got Mourinho, we've got some excellent players, and we are reinforcing well, to go as far as any side in league, and be back at the elite table next (make no mistake there is an expectation of that) we can also offer one of the best financial packages in the world. Woodward has to sell the dream, it's one Pogba knows well enough. If it's not enough then fine, but we need to make sure we did everything possible.

Key to this deal is Madrid me thinks, if they come in for him and pay the money, he will go there. But by what has been reported they are relucant to do so, if that's the case we might get him.

Raiola also wary of Madrid, but will also back Pogba's wishes.

One hopes Raiola is selling the dream of returning to United as well considering the amount of business/money he is going to be getting from us with the two deals involving Ibra and Mkh.

I can tell you guys(as a Madrid fan)that Raiola pretty much cancelled the Madrid deal by his 'face cloth' comment.(if he really said it)

Local Dortmund newspaper Ruhr Nachrichten also confirming the Mkhitaryan deal. And that he will sign a 4yr deal.

Ferhat Cogalan visits Man United to listen to their offer, father sounds excited

Juventus will tell Mino Raiola that they intend to keep Paul Pogba today when discussing Utd [ Di Marzio ]
Of course. At no point are Juventus going to say anything other than than. They badly want to keep him and if they are going to lose him, they will get as much as possible. It will be a world record fee, no doubt about it

Of course the worlds most overrated player needs to go for a world record fee.
