The Manchester United Thread

So who reckons out front 3 is just as good as Cities now? Zlatan, Mkytarian, Martial vs Silva, Aguero, KDB.

I'd still edge City in front. But not by much, and it's been a while since we could say that. :/ Anyhow, they can't seem to keep Aguero fit for an entire season.

Yeah was thinking it's about even tbh. Think we have better depth though.

Everywhere else but the striker, yeah. Ibra and Rashford for a complete season seems less. I don't want Rooney near the striker's role, and tbh, not sure I want him anywhere nearby the ball after Iceland. Plus, even before that, I always felt he took too much time on the ball to pass and what not.

Maybe need a striker, but I don't know who we can get. Especially since Wilson is rumoured to be sent out on loan again.

Can understand what ya mean about STR but think we will be fine with Zlatan,Rashford,Rooney,Martial,Wilson to choose from at different times.

Man City edge it. Just for the sake that Martial is still relatively inexperienced, while Silva, Aguero and KDB are all experienced.

It was more funny the way it was the Granada fella' announced it the local news (paraphrasing) ..... And Manchester City have announced a friendly against Arsenal in Gothenburg, Sweden. I wonder if they'll be less empty blue seats there for that than at the Ethiad?' ..... Obviously not a City fan then LOL.

Was it the black bloke off Granada Reports? If it was he's a big Citeh fan. Makes it even better haha

Wouldn't get another forward. If needed we have Martial and Depay to cover, with others moving into their position if we get many injuries.

For those wondering about why we havent got more Mendes players, we're interested in Fabinho, an excellent right back at Monaco

It appears that United now also have a clear run at signing Pogba if they can agree a deal with Italian champions Juventus. Real Madrid, it is understood, have, along with Manchester City, stepped aside because of the fees being demanded for the 23-year-old midfielder.

Real were prepared to go as high as £60 million for Pogba but sources close to Juventus suggested yesterday that United had already offered £80 million for their former player.

It appears that United may even be prepared to go substantially higher to secure the France international, which would mean breaking the world transfer record set when Gareth Bale signed for Real for £86 million. Pogba himself is believed to be happy to return to old trafford

Has anybody else noticed the Manchester United bashing that has creeped back into the press?
I'm delighted personally.
It means they are starting to worry about us again.

Yeah was thinking the same. It's great I love it ! Just having Mou and Zlatan back has made a huge difference and teams will be dreading playing against again especially at OT

Speak for others. With Zlatan never having scored against against L'pool and Klopp owning Mourinho, no fear down the other end of the East Lancs. :).

I'm mad excited about De Gea, Bailly and Smalling.
How many clean sheets do you think we will keep this season?

We kept 18 clean sheets last season without Bailly... So I'm going for 25 this season ;)
