Not sure if that Wenger comment was needed tho

As far as I understood, the journo didn't even ask that. The question was something like if a 'star' player of the club still needs to prove a point when a new manager arrives. Was nothing about the manager.

Behave mate will yer. (Paraphrasing) 'Some managers haven't won a title in 10 years' ..... It was a flat out dig. Same before it at LVG. And bringing up he's at the biggest club in England ..... You're just starting out as Utd manager. Why even go down that road? Cringe worthy.

He was funny and fresh when he first arrived. Now he's just a tiresome caricature of that. Top manager no doubt but there's no need to be a blert all the time. And this is in friging July. What's he gonna' be like come the season's start?

Love it. Hope he's like till the end of the season! :) Better than what we've had to put up with the last 3 seasons. Philosophy this transition that. We need to be like City bollocks. Come on Mou and come on you reds!!! Utd :)

Dont think it was a dig as such. Just putting things into perspective. He was asked if he had anything to prove or along those lines. He said there's managers who havent won a league for 10 years (Wenger). There's some managers that have never won a league (probably pochettino). He said it's only been 1 season since he last won a league. So why should he be under pressure?

Was the dig at LVG about bringing players through? Again just putting it I to perspective. LVG only used those players coz he literally had no other choice. He'd already used midfielder that were fit in defence. Then used practically every winger/midfielder he could as wing backs before turning to youth. Rashford only got a chance because we had no strikers or midfielder capable of playing there fit when martial got injured in the warm up. Luckily it turned out ok. He had practically lost the fans, but rashford performances gave the fans something to get excited about again. If he would have ****** him off as soon as others became available he might as well pack his bags there and then.

So mourinho was just pointing out that in his career he's had a very good injury record so wasn't put in a position where the only option he had was to play kids. Also he pointed out when your always at the top, and are challenging for titles, you don't have as many opportunities to put kids in. You need to keep playing your best team to keep challenging. All perfectly valid points.

He has played kids when he thought they was good enough. At every club he's been at. Whether that's from the youth setup or a youngster he has bought. How can he explain and put his explanation into context without explaining? Then with that comes the obvious comparisons. People are reading to much into it. I don't think they was pre-planned digs. Just explaining how it is.

25 minutes and you can already abandon all hope that the man has changed.

Why take an unnecessary shot at LVG? Did they have a falling out or something because they were very close no? Seems petty to me like how he did the same at Benitez when he took over at Chelsea. Although the Benitez one was still slightly more understandable as they have been traditional enemies

He basially said he wouldn't hide behind talk of philosophy. This is a point that ****** off United fans no end. We are sick of that word.

He actually extended beyond that point too. Some have won nothing, we arent here to sit around, but to win everything

wait I'm sorry, are people actually annoyed he called United the biggest club in England?

Not in the slightest. It's a moot point and we're the last ones that would ever effect being as you still trail behind us in those big silvery things. ;). :P.

It was just the fact he felt the need to say that. It's as cringe worthy as Moyes with the 'Peoples Club' line. You're on the first 'official' day of the job at Utd. And even that's not enough? He just can't resist being a *** and trying to feel superior to massage his ego.

But again that's Mourinho doing Mourinho stuff. Just thought he'd wait more than a day this time to try start winding people up.

Well, classic José. I have nothing against him bar this Wenger obsession. It's like clinging on to an old GF.

It's not even close to being cringeworthy, and it's arguably true.

Whatever floats you guys boat.

But it's what makes him so disliked outside of the club he manages. Great manager. But a complete blert to go along with it.

Pep said it at Bayern, Klopp called Liverpool one of the greatest clubs. Clearly they are both blerts then.

Seriously. You want to seriously compare Klopp and Mourinho's opening pressers?

No, I don't think we should either.

Just because he's now Utd manager doesn't mean his schtick is suddenly fun again to everyone else that's tired of it.

That half line is the only thing I raise my eyebrows at, but then it's nothing Ferguson wouldn't have said, have we forgotten the old United-Arsenal games, best modern rivalry we had. It's the more extreme Madrid behaviour I don't want to see.

No I compare the very line you're complaining about. Try again.

Mate, again. whatever floats your boat. Sure you'll love him pulling his **** the same way Chelsea fans once did when he was there manager.

Everyone else, not so much.
