The Manchester United Thread

Oh and Rooney is still useless, sub at HT for Mkhi. But then I woke up.

Completely in control, decent half, just keep prompting & probing and that goal will come. Every credit to Phelan & Hull so far, set up very rigidly. Hopefully we'll up the pace in the second half, similar to how we done it against Bournemouth & Southampton.

Rooney is like the English version of Torres. Gets blamed for everything. I hope you guys still remember he has 1 goal and 1 assist this season.

I really don't understand the stick he gets tbh, lol. Ok, he's not frightening goalscorer he once was, but he's adapted his game pretty well to a become an all round team player (well, he always was, but more so in recent seasons) and he's a very good #10 in my opinion, just needs to be a little bit more selfish. If he gets this stick when we're winning games, I'll hate to see when we hit that inevitable iffy patch this season..

He's been ***** today tho.

Why though? He made a couple of decent runs behind, almost put one on a plate for Martial, couple of decent interchanges with Zlatan, I mean he hasn't stood out, but he's hardly been "*****"?

He didn't dribble past a defender, didn't set up a proper chance, had two shots that didn't cause any danger and got dispossesed more than any Man United player today.

Really poor display from Martial. Hope he can get back to his best soon, we'll need him.

Been watching this in town the second half.

Very impressed by Hull. They looked as comfortable defending as this all game?

What they have done is nothing short of amazing. 13 senior players and they are putting up a fight instead of rolling over and providing cannon fodder.

They had a few iffy moments, there was virtually a block on the line from a Rooney shot by Davies and then Zlatan backheeled wide when he took the ball past the keeper, but other than that they've been very well organised. Very deep defensive line. Only problem is, they're concentrating so hard on getting bodies behind the ball, they can't counter (Hernandez never has support).

Hull VERY lucky not to concede a penalty there. Arm to ball.

And then Hiddlestone nearly gets a lucky break to open the scoring. Open game.

Absolutely. Had them as potentially rivalling Derbys unwanted PL record.

Even if they ultimately lost this an outstanding start to the season.

Looks like I made a very prudent move putting the Hull 'keeper in my fantasy nets this week. (H).

*Edit* Meh, no clean sheet but good bonus points.
