Fair play to you.
Refreshing change from people who just dig their heels in like a stubborn child and end up looking silly.

Thats the thing with me. I dont bullshit. I say things how I see it. If im wrong I'll hold my hands up. In preseason it looked to me like he was another Phil Jones. Charging in too much then losing position and had to rely on his pace to get back, and a fair few times he made tackles (perfectly good ones) from behind. I thought he was a red card/yellow + pen waiting to happen. But fair play to him he's proved me wrong. I dont know if maybe he was just trying too hard in preseason (charging in), or if he's just improved his positioning/awareness in training but something seems to have worked.

Also he doesnt seem fazed by who is next to him either. Plays his same game regardless. Whereas somebody like Jonny Evans could be one of the best defenders if he had Rio or Vidic next to him (was our best and most consistent defender a few years back when he played nearly a full season), but when they left and he was the main man, he completely lost the plot. Smalling stepped up last year to be the main man, and so far it appears that Bailly is the same. No drop in performance despite who is next to him. Considering he can only get better, and if he stays 10 years, he's a bargain.

In today's footballing world, when David Luiz get's sold and rebought for a combined fee that surpasses what Real Madrid paid for Cristiano Ronaldo's world record, I'd already stick my neck out and call him a bargain.

Not too long back from the pub, been catching up on the forum/roaming social media and came across an article that included these little images of our dominating and tireless Spaniard in the heart of midfield doing one of the things he does best, sums up his terrier-like approach, poor Can;

But has he got the intelligence on top of his ability to boss this defensive all round role, or was that just a flukey example? Yeah, right...

Milner free in the below example, Valencia has to close him... what about Mane who he'll leave free? No probs, we've got Ander... on to him like like a bullet without hesitance;

Plenty more examples of it, he was absolutely superb and has been all season so far. ..... .

That's the one big regret from Monday. De Gea and Valencias Worldie match saving contributions aside. With as well as Herrera's playing (agree on him being MoTM. Don't think that contest run above he and Henderson. Maybe De Gea for saving the point), along with Fellaini to disrupt; it would of been nice to see Wijnaldum and Lallana, who always play on the turn off the front foot, in there as opposed to the woefully short of fitness Can, playing his first 90 minutes since the UEFA Cup final last May. Who it transpires is carrying a back injury.

We've waited since Burnley to see someone else set up and approach the game in that vein and how we'd deal with it. Hull sort of did but they don't have anything like the quality Utd do. Phil worked and was busy, but it would of been nice to see the usual advanced two in there to see how much differently it may of played out.

Hopefully that will come Saturday with them both back. But although it's the exact same approach, nobody that plays as low a block/ line as that this season will have the quality of what United had Monday. Would of been nice to see the difference.

Learning the language, listening to the coach and getting used to his team. Bailly isn't finished at developing, he was good but raw at Villarreal, learning under Jose, but also playing with someone like Blind has brought him on leaps already

That tackle from Valencia was class and all but it was his own mistake that put him in that position in the first place.

Was it? Don't recall and haven't seen it back. Just that Bobby was poised to score and he recovered wonderfully to time that to perfection.

Yes, he didn't track the run, recovered quickly with the tackle by getting back somehow.

What in the *** is going on here.

Leeds felt left out. It's been (more than) a while for them .....

Not that we need another centre back at all, but there's honestly only one the PL I'd want, who'd both fit perfectly into the ideal Klopp mould and who I personally rate as good as anything in the league. Virgil van Dijk from Southampton.

So you don't rate David Luiz?
